For more info about how you can partner with us, send an email to [email protected]. Growing up, we would spend time most every major holiday with our grandparents and cousins. Love of family was instilled in us at a very young age. Our parents would also take us camping and backpacking. One summer was spent out in Sunlight basin (Montana). It was incredible! As we got a litle older, we
would book a retreat center at a Christian camp so that all the extended family could be together. My precious Grandma was always talking about the next reunion for our family. We had several that I remember, but she was always looking forward to the next one! God's heart is clearly seen in relationships - connecting. As I became a young adult, involved in full-time ministry with Young Life, I recocnized the need to GET AWAY and unplug, to connect with God and creation, to take a Sabbath weekly. I saw many believers burn out because they didn't get the time away they needed. I committed then to try and make a difference for others in full -time ministry by offering them a place of Yahweh Shammah- retreat. My husband and I have been foster parents for more than two decades. During this time, we have included these precious children on our various adventures- family vacations and trips. Foster parents and their kids need a place of Retreat also. As a middle aged adult, I have often planned and facilitated womens retreats to allow time away with Jesus in nature. I have been blessed to be entrusted with this ministry, and it is growing, by God's grace. We now have adult children of my own, and desire a place for them to "come away" with God and family. We would like to have the property and amenities to host small and large gatherings of people so that they can experience YAHWEH SHAMMAH, the Lord is there. Will you consider a tax-deductible gift through the Lampstand Project to fund this endeavor? If you have questions, or know of a donor who would like to gift the ministry with property/ land, please be in touch. To God be the Glory! May you be blessed in Jesus' name- Colleen
