TENNESSEE KoC PRAYER INTENTIONS
FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 3rd, 2026
Please join us in prayer for:
Pope Leo XIV.
Vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, consecrated life, and holy marriage.
Servant of God Father Patrick Ryan, Namesake of Council 610 and Assembly 1084. Please pray for his beatification and canonization.
Expectant mothers for health, safety, and peace. Peace and unity within all families.
Families who have lost a child during pregnancy, at birth and beyond.
End to abortion. Our leaders, that they honor God in all their decisions and actions.
The social ministries of our Parishes and Catholic Charities in Tennessee, assisting and lifting-up our most vulnerable neighbors in our State.
Military members and veterans of our Active, Reserve and National Guard forces and their families. Guidance, strength, and mercy for all.

Joshua Davis (Council 3991 in Tullahoma at St. Paul Parish). He and his family have suffered through multiple medical episodes over the past few weeks. Also Joshua is in the midst of a job transition. [Justin Thompson, 5/18]
Justin Griffin, son-in-law of David Reynolds (Council # 4264 in Johnson City), has very severe, disabling, ulcerative colitis. [David Reynolds, 6/1]

Karen Holmes, daughter of Mark DeMille (PGK of Council 12256 in Nashville at Christ The King CC). Karen, a brand-new mother, is in the ICU (and has been there for 4 weeks) for a lung disorder of which they have yet to determine a cause. Karen struggles --trying to stabilize and start to get better in small increments. Please keep Karen, husband Peyton and 4-week-old Braxton in your prayers. [PGK Mark DeMille, 7/6]
Jason Hussey (Council 9132 in Hendersonville at Our Lady of the Lake Parish) is suffering from kidney stones and multiple hernias. Please pray that the corrective surgery will be successful. [Mike Baricevich, 6/24]
SK Gary Leturmy (Council 12012 in Nashville / Assembly 1081). Gary's open heart surgery went well and is recovering at home. Thank you for the many prayers and please pray for a complete recovery. [DM Ken Warren., 7/14]
Kenneth Richter (Council 12012 in Nashville) asks for prayers that the financial institution that manages his income remedies systemic issues in its accounting that has created hardship for him. May he receive what is due him. [6/15]
Mikey Schachle, son of General Agent Dan Schachle. Mikey is recovering from ear surgery on 7/3. [6/29]
Paula Stanley, wife of Alan Stanley (State Treasurer), continues her treatments and is tolerating the chemo well. Scans indicate "NO CHANGES" which is positive and good news. THANK YOU for the prayers. They are working. We are blessed. [7/13]
Cheryl Szabat, wife of John Szabat (Council 8781, St John Neumann parish, Farragut) continues to wrestle with some major health issues that were recently diagnosed. She is slowly getting her health back. [7/27]
Rose Urban, spouse of SK Frank Urban (Assembly 2920 / Council 15585 in Madisonville at St Joseph the Worker CC). Rose has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. [FN Jim Gecsei, 5/29]
The son of Mike Valenze (Council 3832 in Alcoa at Our Lady of Fatima CC) will be a bone-marrow transplant donor this week. Please pray that the procedure is successful and that his son recovers from it with little pain. [GK Peter Lloyd, 6/24]
Patti Williams, sister-in-law to Tom Labrado (Council 9168 in Smyrna at St. Luke Parish). She has multiple blood clots. [5/11]
SK Rick Witt (Council 11542 in South Pittsburg at Our Lady of Lourdes/ Assembly 1084) is recovering from a life-saving surgery that occurred in late July. His recovery will be lengthy. [PGK Andy Wikidal, 7/27]
Steve Yorlano (Council 10010 in Gallatin). Steve is scheduled for hip revision surgery on 6/30. Some heart concerns were found during the surgery screening. [Brian Kennedy, 6/15]

Justin and Hayley (son and daughter-in-law) of Rich Martin (Council 9282 in Hermitage at St. Stephen CC). The family thanks all who prayed for their pregnancy. On 5/19 God blessed them with baby Luca Jack Martin. All are doing well, very thankful, excited and blessed! [5/25]
