Good afternoon, today we beginning chapter 2 of the book of Ezekiel verses 1 - chapter 3 verse 4
This world is topsy-turvy to say the least. We must keep our brothers and sisters in prayer around the world. We need to keep our leaders here in America in prayer. We are just a few months away from a very important election cycle, the midterms. We must pray, and participate in these elections and then may the awards will be done.
So now we are on to Ezekiel chapter 2 verses 1 - chapter 3 verse 4
““Son of man (Son of Adam), He said to me, “stand up on your feet and I will speak to you. And the Spirit came into me as He spoke to me and set me on my feet, and I heard the One speaking to me. “Son of man, He said to me, “I am sending you to the Israelites (God prevails), to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me. To this very day they and their fathers have rebelled against Me And the sons are hard of face and strong of heart; to them I am sending you, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord YHWH.’As for them, whether they listen or refuse [to listen]—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know and be fully aware of the fact that there has been a prophet among them. And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or of their words; do not be afraid—if briers and thorns are with you and among you scorpions are sitting!—Of their words, and do not be afraid of their faces, and do not be dismayed, for they area rebellious house. But speak My words to them, whether they listen or refuse to listen, for they are rebellious. Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out toward me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. And He spread it before me, and it was written on the front and on the back, and written on it were [words of] lamentation (funeral songs) and mourning and woe. And He said to me, “Son of man, what you find, you must eat. Eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel!”And I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat this scroll. And He said to me: “Son of man, feed your belly and fill your bowels with this scroll that I am giving to you!” And I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel (he wrestles with God) and speak My words to them.”
I think that the Lord wants us to understand that the house of Israel is rebellious. Don’t you think.
Ezekiel gets the message directly from God. The vision in chapter 1 makes that abundantly clear. The vision also knocks him to his feet just like John in revelation chapter 1.
Hebrews chapter 12 verse 6 says
“For the Lord disciplines whom He loves, and He scourges every son whom He receives.””
Proverbs chapter 3 verse 11 says
“My son, do not reject or take lightly the discipline of the LORD [learn from your mistakes and the testing that comes from His correction through discipline]; Nor despise His rebuke,”
They are rebellious so the Lord as it was stated in Hebrews He is disciplining them, not forsaken the house of Israel.
God is faithful to His word.
If the Lord is through with them, then He most definitely he would be through with us. But thank the Lord He is faithful to His Word. Genesis chapter 12 and Genesis chapter 15 to name a few.
Amen?
