Thompson Falls Community Congregational Church

Thompson Falls Community Congregational Church Member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC) Everyone is welcome!!

Thompson Falls Community Congregational Church is made up of followers of Jesus who seek diligently to love God, love others, and make disciples (Matt. 22:34-40; Matt. 28:19). We seek to do this in community as we gather together for services, and build relationships in smaller groups and friendships.

No matter where you find yourself today, the highest of highs or the lowest of lows. May your heart cry out just as the crowds did when Jesus rode into Jerusalem two thousand years ago, "God save us!!" No matter how hard we try, we can't do this life on our own! He is the only one who can save us. Hosanna all the time, Hosanna everywhere, Hosanna forever! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! 🙌🌿❤️

The season of Lent began on Feb. 18th, Ash Wednesday. If you'd like a resource to help you take the next 38-days (plus a couple you may have missed) and spend intentional time preparing your heart for Easter, check out this devotion: https://passionequip.com/studies/lenten-journey?intro=true.

"For some of us, Lent is an expression of sacrifice reserved for specific denominations. For others, it’s liturgical, unfamiliar, or even a tad bit confusing.

But at the heart of Lent is not more doing— more giving up, more prayer, more reading, more acts of holy activity— it’s about being.

Being aware of God’s infinite grace.
Being filled with gratitude for the cross.
Being led, as the psalmist says, in the way everlasting." (Passion Equip Devotional Introduction)

We pray that no matter your church background, your previous experience with Lent or not, that your heart would simply long for more of Him! This time isn't meant to be a checkbox you check off, but a reposturing of your heart and mind. We don't show our devotion by more doing or achieving, but rather, through dwelling.

No matter your mistakes, your current struggles, your past; His mercy, grace, forgiveness and love are yours- today and every day!! Come, just as you are. There is always a place at the table for you. ❤️

"The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope” - Tim Keller

Such good truth for today, the first day of Epiphany, and as we head into a new year...

"Let's pay attention to the quiet ways Christ reveals Himself to us in our ordinary days. Let's look for Him expectantly, knowing we will find Him, because He desires us to know Him." ❤️

I’ve always loved the word epiphany, maybe because I’ve always wanted to experience one.

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to encounter Jesus in such a vivid, supernatural way that I could see His presence with my own eyes.

Epiphany reminds me that this longing isn’t strange or wrong. It’s human, and it’s the ache we feel to experience God in a way that’s unmistakably real.

January 6 marks Epiphany, the day Christians remember the moment the light of Christ was revealed to the world.

In the West, we picture the Magi traveling across unknown terrain looking for a promised King they had read about. In the East, typically the Church remembers Jesus’ baptism, when the heavens opened and the Father declared, “This is my beloved Son.”

Either way, Epiphany is all about revelation.
God revealing Himself to humanity, God drawing near, and God making Himself known.

As a new year begins, Epiphany invites us to start not with pressure-filled resolutions, but with expectancy and the belief that God delights in revealing Himself to those who seek Him.

The Magi didn’t know the whole story, they just followed the small light they had, and it led them straight to Jesus.

What if we began this year the same way?
What if we stopped trying to force clarity and simply followed the light God has already given through His Word, His character, and His nudges in our spirit?

Epiphany encourages us: we may not see Jesus with our physical eyes, but we can absolutely experience Him in real and meaningful ways.

He is the God who shows up. The God who guides. The one who made the path before us.

So as this year unfolds, let’s pay attention to the quiet ways Christ reveals Himself in our ordinary days.

Let’s look for Him expectantly, knowing we will find Him because He desires us to know Him.

Here’s to a year of seeking Jesus, seeing Jesus, and being in awe by the ways He shows up for you.

“My heart says of You, ‘Seek His face!’ Your face, Lord, I will seek.” — Psalm 27:8

We love being a part of God's work and serving with others in our community!! Special thanks to Ron Reedy, Pastor Matt and many others who worked hard to prepare for today! With the help of people from various churches, and community members, we packed and delivered 125 Thanksgiving meals to families in need!! We are so blessed by the generosity of those that contribute financially, especially this year!! God knew the need and was faithful to provide for the higher than normal requests!!

Wishing everyone a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends! May we never forget all that we have, all that we are, is because of Him! ❤️ "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!!" Psalm 150:6 🙌
