Thomasville First Assembly Welcome!

Fruit is easy to notice, but roots are what keep us alive. When we stay grounded in God’s Word, our faith grows deeper, stronger, and able to bear what He has called us to carry. Before we ask what we are producing, we should ask what we are planted in. 🌱📖

God could’ve created humans who obeyed Him automatically.
No questions. No temptation. No ability to walk away.

But that wouldn’t be love.
That would be control.

So He gave humanity free will-the ability to choose.
Because real love is never forced. It must be given willingly.

The tree in Eden wasn’t proof that God wanted Adam and Eve to fail. It was proof that their love and obedience had meaning. Without a choice, obedience is just programming.

God didn’t create robots.
He created people with the freedom to choose Him or reject Him.

And even after humanity chose sin, God still chose to pursue us with grace, mercy, and redemption through Jesus. 🤍🙏🏻

God exists. Heaven is real. The Bible is true. Jesus Christ is Lord. One day, the endless scrolling, political arguments, and chase for money, status, approval, pleasure, and success will fade.

What will remain is the reality that most of the world spends its life trying not to think about: We were created by God, and we're accountable to Him.

The modern world trains us to think almost entirely in the immediate moment. What feels good now. But Christianity forces us to lift our eyes higher and farther. It asks the question most people avoid: “What happens after death?”

Every human being will live forever somewhere.

Heaven isn't poetic symbolism. Hell isn't metaphorical language. And Jesus didn’t speak about eternity casually - He spoke about it more than almost anyone in Scripture. He understood the weight of what was at stake.

That is why the Gospel matters so deeply. Jesus didn't come merely to improve people’s lives temporarily. He came to rescue people eternally. He stepped into human history and took upon Himself the judgment that sin deserved, so that guilty people could be forgiven, cleansed, adopted by God, and given eternal life.

The invitation of Christianity isn't to “be religious.” It's to repent, be reconciled to God, receive mercy, and to be born again. "The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever." (1 John 2:17)
