October 2026
Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
We have had a busy September, and I’m excited to share what the Lord has been doing!
On Wednesday, September 2nd, we were at Maranatha Baptist Church in Rantoul, Illinois, with Pastor Mark Wilkerson. Bro. Wilkerson was my grandfather’s assistant pastor for 11½ years and is a dear friend.
On Sunday, September 6th, we were in two different churches: First Baptist of Macon with Pastor Ed Cain in the morning, and then Bible Baptist of Mattoon with Pastor Ryan Hayden in the evening. Both of these churches were encouraging to be in!
On Monday and Tuesday, September 7th and 8th, I preached at Southside Baptist Church for Pastor Aaron Rodgerson during their annual tent revival. We enjoyed the fellowship of many friends and had good services.
Wednesday, September 9th, found us again in Illinois as I preached at First Baptist of Clinton for Pastor Jonathan Roberson. Bro. Roberson was out of town, and I was honored to be trusted to preach in his absence.
From Sunday through Wednesday, September 13th–16th, we were in revival services at First Baptist Church of Colchester, Illinois, with Pastor Caleb Sparrow. We had good services and received encouraging feedback from the messages.
On Sunday, September 20th, we were at Jordan Baptist of Burbank, Illinois, with Pastor Keith Ellis. This is a growing church in Cook County. I even got to speak for a few minutes in the Spanish service—my first time speaking through an interpreter!
From Wednesday through Sunday, September 23rd–27th, we were in revival services at Fairhaven Baptist in Oconto, Wisconsin, with Pastor Richard King. Bro. King started this church 30 years ago in the little town of Oconto, about 25 miles north of Green Bay. We had good attendance and a fabulous response to the preaching each evening, along with warm fellowship with the church family. Pastor King has scheduled us for another meeting next fall, and we are excited to see our new friends there!
On Wednesday, September 30th, we were at Averyville Baptist in East Peoria, Illinois, with Pastor Paul Coyle. I preached at ABC last fall for Bro. Coyle’s dad, Pastor David Coyle, who has now retired from pastoring. It is exciting to see this church moving forward for the Lord under the next generation of leadership.
Prayer Requests
Earlier this year, we had one “big” prayer request—to buy a newer van. I shared last month how the Lord had met this need in an extraordinary way. We have put about 5,000 miles on the 2025 Pacifica we were able to purchase, and it has been a wonderful vehicle for us to travel in.
For 2027, our “big” prayer request is twofold: 1. To get completely out of debt. 2. To find a home in a more central location. The majority of our meetings have been in the Midwest, and it would save us a lot of travel time and expense if we lived here.
In both of these instances, the Lord is going to have to do something miraculous. He has been taking care of our needs, but we don’t have any extra to either pay more toward our debt or rent or purchase a house. We know that He is able, and we are trying to be patient and wait on Him and His timing.
Thank you for praying for us. The Lord is providing more meetings for 2027, and for that we are extraordinarily thankful.
Serving our Saviour,
Paul & Janell Frederick
