Many people own a Bible, but not everyone studies it. Reading God's Word is soooo very important, but studying it allows God's truth to take deep root in our hearts. The Bible isn't just another book — it is God's living Word, able to transform our thinking, strengthen our faith, and guide our every step.
When we study the Word, we learn God's character, His promises, His commands, and His heart. We begin to recognize & hear His voice more clearly and become less vulnerable to deception. A believer who knows God's Word is equipped for every season of life.
Jesus responded to every temptation from Satan with Scripture (Matthew 4). He didn't rely on His feelings, He relied on the Word. When life gets intense we shouldn't rely on how that season makes us feel, but instead we should dig into the Word a little deeper. If Jesus used Scripture as His weapon, how much more should we?
Joshua 1:8 — This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
