Estimados feligreses:
En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús dice a sus discípulos que oren para que el maestro de la cosecha envíe a los trabajadores. Inmediatamente después, los envía a predicar y a hacer milagros. En la primera lectura, Dios dijo al pueblo que serían un reino de sacerdotes, una nación santa. También hemos sido llamados a ser sacerdotes, profetas y reyes. Fuimos ungidos en nuestro bautismo y por eso compartimos la misión de Jesús. San Pablo ofrece un buen recordatorio en la segunda lectura de que la misión de Jesús era dar su vida por todos nosotros, aunque fuéramos pecadores. También tenemos parte de esta misión de reconciliación. Como sacerdotes, profetas y reyes, podemos trabajar en la Iglesia y en el mundo para la salvación de todos.✝️

In today's Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples to pray that the master of the harvest will send out laborers.
Immediately after that, he sends them out to preach and to work miracles. In the first reading, God told the people they would be a kingdom of priests, a holy nation. We have also been called to be priests, prophets, and kings. We were anointed at our baptism and so share in the mission of Jesus. Saint Paul offers a good reminder in the second reading that the mission of Jesus was to give his life for all of us even though we were sinners. We also have a share in this mission of reconciliation. As priests, prophets, and kings, we can labor in the Church and in the world for the salvation of all.✝️
