Today's Message was part 2 of Pastor Cavanaugh's series on "Faith in Action". The Message Title today was "The Death We Left Behind". This referenced Ephesians 2:1-10 in which teaches that we are spiritually dead in sin but are made alive by God’s grace through faith, not by our works, and are created to do good works prepared by God. A question for you all, what has God called you to do? Am I doing what God wants me to do? God didn't rescue us for us just to say Thank You Jesus. Leave the Death and Discourage behind and do God's work. See you next Sunday!

Today's message from Pastor Cavanaugh was titled "Rest in Your Riches". This referenced Ephesians 1:3-14 which celebrates God’s spiritual blessings in Christ, highlighting adoption, redemption, and the sealing of believers by the Holy Spirit as part of His eternal plan.
God has blessed believers with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms through Christ. These blessings include being chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, and sealed by the Holy Spirit. Believers are described as chosen and predestined for adoption as God’s children before the foundation of the world. Through Christ’s sacrificial death, believers receive redemption and forgiveness of sins, demonstrating the richness of God’s grace. We are all part of God's plan. This plan aims to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ, giving believers purpose and direction in their lives. Today, let's sit and REST and celebrate in all that Christ has done for all of us for it has been Done!

Today's message titled "No Rain in the Earth" referenced Jeremiah 14. This passage is a prophetic chapter that vividly portrays Judah’s suffering under a severe drought as a sign of God’s judgment, while also calling for repentance and warning against false prophets. Are you in a spiritual drought? Do you feel a dryness in your faith? We all need that spiritual rain in our journey with Christ. Please join us next week here at Calvary.

Today's sermon was titled "How Great a Debt". Pastor Cavanaugh read Luke 7:36-50 which records a powerful encounter where Jesus is invited to dine at the home of a Pharisee named Simon. While they are eating, a woman known for her sinful life enters with an alabaster jar of expensive perfume. She kneels behind Jesus, weeping. She wipes His feet with her hair, kisses them, and anoints them with the perfume. The Pharisee, Simon, observes her actions and speculates that if Jesus were a prophet, He would know who she is. Jesus responds by telling Simon a parable about a moneylender who forgives debts of five hundred and fifty pieces of silver. He asks which debtor will love the lender more. Simon answers correctly, and Jesus turns to the woman, saying that her many sins have been forgiven because of her great love and she may go in peace. Today, how do you view the gifts of forgiveness? What have you given to the Lord lately? Be thankful to the Lord for all He does!

Today's message titled "The Fruit of Faith" referenced Hebrews 11:8-12. This passage highlights the faith of Abraham and Sarah, showing how their trust in God’s promises led to miraculous outcomes. Abraham’s obedience to God’s call, even without knowing the destination, and Sarah’s belief in God’s word despite her advanced age, are examples of faith in action. The imagery of “a city which hath foundations” points to the heavenly Jerusalem, God’s eternal dwelling place. Faith is the primary characteristic of all Christians. We can only be true believers and Christians ourselves if we have Faith. Have a blessed week and come see us next Sunday.
