We believe in the power of prayer!

"Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
James 5:13-16

This evening Unity UMC and West End UMC will gather at 7:00 pm for a prayer vigil for our District Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Samuel (Sam) Moore who will undergo cancer surgery tomorrow August 10th. ALL who believe in the power prayer are invited to attend and join your prayers with ours.

Unity UMC is having a huge Potluck Dinner with Christmas caroling tomorrow evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We are blessed to be the meeting house of several churches (both English and Spanish speaking.) We have three different denominations within our building. ALL the churches are coming together for a combined potluck dinner and then we will go Christmas caroling in downtown Thomasville tomorrow evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.. 🌟🎄🌟If you are in the area, please stop in and see us!!
