Founded in 1994, the Cherokee Rose Quilters' Guild, (meets at the Thomaston-Upson Civic Center, 101 Civic Center Drive, Thomaston, Georgia 30286), is a warm and vibrant community of quilting enthusiasts. What began as a small group of dedicated quilters has grown into a diverse guild of men and women who share a love for creativity, craftsmanship, and connection. We welcome everyone—from absolute
beginners to seasoned quilters—who wants to learn, create, and enjoy the fellowship that quilting inspires. Whether you're exploring quilting for the first time or expanding your skills, you’ll find encouragement, inspiration, and friendship here. What We Do
The guild meets regularly to learn, create, and collaborate:
• Monthly Meetings are on the first Monday of each month beginning at 6 pm. They bring members together for programs, demonstrations, and guild business.
• Weekly Sewing days, each Wednesday 9 am to 4 pm, offer a relaxed studio-style environment to sew together, work on personal projects, or contribute to community quilting efforts. These gatherings foster not only artistic growth but also a strong sense of camaraderie. Our Mission
Our mission is to create, stimulate, and maintain an interest in all aspects of quilt making, collecting, and preservation. We aim to honor the tradition of quilting while supporting its continued evolution as an art form. Through shared knowledge and fellowship, we celebrate both creativity and community. Membership
Membership is open to anyone engaged in or supportive of quilting. Whether you’re seeking education, inspiration, or connection, the Cherokee Rose Quilters' Guild is a place to belong.
• Annual Membership Fee: $25
