* Last year’s Nursery I-5th grade students will meet in opening rooms for opening & promotion
* 7th, 8th, and High school students will meet in the basement classrooms.
*The New Nursery I class meets in the classroom located on the 2nd floor, south east end by stairs.

MISSION FESTIVAL / SUNDAY SCHOOL KICKOFF -- September 13

On September 13, we celebrate Mission Festival and the Sunday School department kicks off their new year! We will be having a lunch in the church pavilion and EVERYONE is invited to attend. The Church Council is taking care of and serving the food while the Sunday School department reserved inflatables for the kids. This is an event that is open to everyone. Please make sure to RSVP using the link or QR code in the comments or by signing up on the bulletin board in the church office hallway by September 6.

📖 New Sunday Morning Bible Study Begins Next Month!

Looking to spend a little extra time in God's Word before worship? Beginning Sunday, September 20, join us each week from 8:00–8:45 a.m. as Pastor Scott leads a verse-by-verse study through the Gospel of Matthew.

Whether you've studied Matthew before or are opening it for the first time, everyone is welcome. Come grow in your faith, ask questions, and prepare your heart for worship as we explore the life and teachings of Jesus together.

🎒 Don't Forget Your Backpack!

This Sunday is our annual Blessing of the Backpacks at Immanuel!

As a new school year begins, we'll take time during worship to pray for all students, teachers, and school staff, asking God to bless, guide, and protect them throughout the year.

Be sure to bring your backpack, book bag, or teacher tote to church so we can include it in the blessing!

We'll also install our Sunday School teachers during the service. Following worship, all Sunday School teachers are invited to a teacher meeting and brunch in Diers Hall.

We look forward to beginning the school year together in God's Word and prayer. We hope to see you Sunday!

🙏 𝟐𝟒-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

As part of our Mission Festival, Immanuel will hold a 𝟮𝟰-𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗹 beginning 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭 at 3:00 PM and continuing through 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮 at 3:00 PM.

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
— Colossians 4:2

We’re inviting members of the congregation to commit to spending 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 in the sanctuary, with the goal of having at least one person praying during every hour of the vigil. More than one person is certainly welcome. The more, the better!

Prayer resources will be available to help guide your time, including information about missionaries and missions, Scripture readings, written prayers, and other suggestions.

This vigil will lead us into our Mission Festival, where Pr. Jay Johnson will speak on behalf of the World Missions Prayer League.

📢 Reminder: Congregational Meeting Next Sunday August 30th

Next Sunday, August 30th, immediately following the 9:00 a.m. worship service, all members of Immanuel Lutheran Church are encouraged to attend our Congregational Meeting.

We'll be discussing the needed repairs to our church roof and reviewing the quotes that have been received. Your input is important as we make decisions about caring for the place God has entrusted to us.

Please plan to stay after worship and take part in this important conversation. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and involvement in the life of our congregation. We hope to see you there!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆!

Children are one of God's greatest blessings. Whether they're taking their first steps, starting school, raising families of their own, or somewhere in between, they are precious gifts entrusted to us.

Today, we give thanks for the sons and daughters in our lives and pray that they would continue to grow in faith, wisdom, and love.

"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him." — Psalm 127:3

Take a moment today to thank God for the children in your life. Offer a prayer of encouragement for them, share a kind word, or remind them just how deeply they are loved—not only by you, but by their Heavenly Father.

May God bless all sons and daughters today and always. ❤️
