Flag Day – June 14

On Flag Day, we give thanks to God for the blessings He has bestowed upon our nation and for the freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the United States.

As Christians, we recognize that our highest citizenship is in heaven, yet we also give thanks for our earthly homeland and pray for those whom God has placed in authority over us. As St. Paul writes:

"I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions..." (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

We remember with gratitude all who have served our country, and we ask the Lord to continue to preserve our nation in peace, justice, and freedom.

Let us pray:
Lord God, heavenly Father, we thank You for the blessings of liberty and for all who have served our nation. Grant wisdom to our leaders, protection to those who defend us, and hearts that seek to love and serve our neighbors. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

📢 Congregational Meeting – June 21

All members of Immanuel Lutheran Church are encouraged to attend a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 21, immediately following the 9:00 a.m. worship service.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss needed roof repairs and review a quote that has been received. A congregational vote will be taken regarding this important matter.

Your voice and participation are important as we make decisions that impact the future of our church. We hope you will join us.

VBS 2026 snack & craft donations needed!

We are in need of some snack and craft donations for VBS 2026! Please find the shared Google doc link below listing what we need and the quantities. These are TOTAL amounts we need for each item. If you want to purchase a portion of the total, please put the quantity you plan to purchase next to your name to let others know what we still need.

*Please drop donations off at the church kitchen or stage area of Dier’s Hall by Sunday, June 14th labeled “VBS.”

This Friday, June 5, we celebrate one of life’s sweetest little blessings… donuts. 😄

Whether you’re team glazed, chocolate frosted, or sprinkles-on-everything, we hope you find a reason to enjoy a treat and share a smile with someone this weekend.

And if a box of donuts just happens to appear at church on Sunday morning… we certainly won’t complain. 😉
