Do you remember Saul who became Paul? Well I remember my dad Melvin who became father! Once troubled with the trauma of losing his dad at age 2, and his only brother to death as well in his early twenties, my dad dealt with the pain of his trauma the best way he knew how. My dad's choices and decisions negatively impacted his family drastically. Many people written him off, (including myself at age 10). But suddenly, when my dad accepted the Lord in his life, I was introduced to a new man. A man that sacrificed for his family. A man who became loving and compassionate. A man that demonstrated dignity, integrity, and good character. A man who reverence God, and walked in obedience to His Word! That old dad was gone. That old dad disappeared. Even though I have memories of that old dad, it's like that old dad died, never to be seen again. I thank God for my father. Because of my father, I know the Father! I'll forever be grateful for what He has done!
