Holy Saturday

Holy Saturday is a very interesting day in the Church. It can feel unfamiliar and leave us feeling unsure what to do. Good Friday is behind us, and yet Easter lies ahead. There is only the quiet of the tomb. While we might not have all the answers, that is OK; today is a day to trust that even in silence, God remains at work.

Tonight, we enter the Upper Room. Jesus gives us the gift of the Eucharist, and of the priesthood, and shows us what love looks like: humble, poured out, and willing to wash the feet of his disciples. The same Lord who feeds us is also the Lord who serves us.
