Dear Family and Friends
The Magnolia United Methodist Episcopal Church, as it was first named, was built in 1872 on a tract of land in Terrebonne Parish known as Magnolia Plantation. It was transported to this present site, Johnson Ridge, by two mules and a wagon in 1916. Since that time our church has been a beacon light to this community and also a light around the world aiding in many causes through the United Methodist Church’s global ministry such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked , aiding hurricane and flood victims, just to name a few. However, we are facing a crisis situation at this present time. The wall on the right side of our church has begun to crack, and the church is sinking into the ground. It’s at this time we are asking our family and friends to assist us in this endeavor. We are conducting a Building Fund Campaign from May to September 2012 because of this desperate need. 2012 VBS Fun day (Skating Rink)

Vacation Bible school was a great success. The children had a blast and they want to do another week. Lol. I am so excited to say we had 68 kids on average every day. WOW!!! Hope to see everyone at our closing Sunday at 11a.m. Sunday school will be at 10a.m. Parents please come out and support your children and see what they did this week. Big thanks to everyone who made our vacation bible school a huge success. You are very special people. God Bless You!!!
