This week, we want to know who your favorite saint is. Let us know in the comments. Feel free to share why or any devotions you may have. God bless.

We often start our Mondays by bracing ourselves. We look at the week ahead and try to build up a hard shell to survive the stress, the deadlines, and the friction of daily life.

But following the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are invited to a completely different kind of strength.

Christ doesn't meet the world with a hardened shell; He meets it with an open, vulnerable, burning Heart. It is a furnace of divine love that consumes our anxieties, our failures, and our exhaustion. When we try to carry the weight of the week on our own, we quickly burn out. But when we plunge our week into His heart, our perspective changes entirely.

Don't spend this Monday trying to manufacture your own strength or hide from the pressures of the week. Take whatever is weighing you down—your worries, your to-do lists, your fears—and throw it into the furnace of His love.

This week we celebrate St. Barnabas as our .

Before he was an Apostle, his name was Joseph, but the early Church renamed him Barnabas (The Encourager) because of his uncanny ability to spot talent and stand up for people when no one else would.

When Saint Paul first converted, the Christians were terrified of him—he had a reputation for hunting them down. Barnabas was the only guy who risked his own safety, put an arm around Paul, and vouched for him to the leaders. Without Barnabas playing the role of the ultimate mentor and talent scout behind the scenes, we might never have had the ministry or the letters of Saint Paul. He proves that greatness isn't just about being in the spotlight; it's about having the courage to help the people around you succeed.

For months, we have defined "fruitfulness" by our productivity. But as the summer unfolds, the Lord is offering us a new kind of harvest. He is inviting us into "Holy Leisure."

This week, drop the checklist. True rest isn’t just about taking a break from work; it’s about acknowledging that the world can spin, the field can grow, and your soul can thrive—not because of your perpetual toil, but because He is good.

Step out of the anxiety. Take the breath He is giving you. Learn the grace of rest.

Memorial Day is a heavy pause in a culture that likes to rush. While the world treats today as a three-day weekend, a kickoff to summer, or a day for barbecues, we are invited to stop and look at the cost of our ordinary Mondays.

Our freedom was bought with a price.

Every ordinary choice we get to make today—to worship, to rest, to gather with family, to speak freely—was paid for by men and women who gave up all of their tomorrows so we could have our 'today.'

The ultimate way to honor a sacrifice that immense isn't just through a moment of silence; it’s through a lifetime of intentionality. When someone lays down their life for you, squandering your own life on petty anxieties, trivial distractions, or passive drifting becomes a tragedy.

This Monday, let gratitude guide your week. You aren't just getting by; you are living out the freedom someone else died to give you. Live it well, live it with purpose, and live it in a way that honors the sacrifice. Live it with faith in the one who truly saves and love for all the people he has put in your life - past, present and future.

Meet St. Theodotus, our Saint of the Week.

He wasn't a priest or a knight. He was an innkeeper in the 4th century. When the Roman Empire made it illegal to be Christian, Theodotus didn't close shop. He used his business as a front—hiding believers, distributing food, and risking his life under the cover of darkness to give martyred Christians a proper burial. He proved that holiness isn't about having a title. It’s about using whatever platform you have to serve the Kingdom.

Rest isn't just the absence of work; it’s the presence of God. As the school year comes to a close, don't rush to fill the gap with new anxieties. The 'yoke' of the world is heavy because it depends on your performance, but His yoke is easy because it depends on His finished work.
