This summer , our summer sermon series is called "Stories of Grace: Christ in the Old Testament". This Sunday, I am preaching over Isaiah 6:1-8, one of my favorite texts. As I prepare for sermons, I read lots of commentaries, books, sermons, etc. Tim Keller said this about Isaiah 6 in his sermon on God is Holy: When we encounter God's holiness, "It overwhelms us, strips us, heals us, and renovates us. If you don’t understand all four of those things, you are not going to understand real holiness and what it means to say, 'God is holy.'"

The good news is that our annual rhythm of centering on Jesus and his ministry shapes not just Christmas and Easter.
