Spent holy precious time with Mercy Chefs this weekend. Love shared through meals.
Mercy Chefs is a faith-based non-profit whose mission is to "just go feed people". They provide professionally prepared, restaurant-quality hot meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders during natural disasters and emergencies, while partnering with local organizations to combat long-term food insecurity in underserved communities worldwide.

Want to know a secret? They do not JUST feed people!

Today marks ELEVEN incredible years of Terry's Tables Food Pantry serving individuals and families facing homelessness and food insecurity in Montgomery County. We are deeply grateful for our East Campus staff, whose compassion and dedication make a difference every single day.

As our Hope 4 Honduras team returns home, we’re carrying more than suitcases… We’re carrying stories, friendships, prayers, and reminders of God’s faithfulness.

This week wasn’t simply about what we did. It was about who we shared it with. The Body of Christ is a beautiful thing, and we were blessed to experience it across borders, languages, and cultures.

Thank you, Honduras, for reminding us that in Christ, we are family.

A glimpse of heaven on earth.

Women from different places, different stories, and different languages gathered as one family in Christ. We worshiped, prayed, laughed, learned, and were reminded that the Spirit of God knows no borders.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” — Psalm 133:1

What a gift to worship alongside our Honduran sisters, celebrating the faith we share and the Savior who unites us. The Church is bigger, more beautiful, and more diverse than we often imagine, and this week we experienced that beauty firsthand.

Grateful for every embrace, every prayer, every song, and every reminder that we belong to one another because we belong to Jesus.

Some call this a mission trip. I like to call it a family reunion.

Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians: “Encourage one another and build each other up.”

And that is the heart of this week.

We are here to encourage our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ, to visit churches we have helped build together, to celebrate new homes built through shared hands and shared faith, and to remember that in Christ, we are family.
