am he had since a child to act in TV commercials. Ray signed with the top talent & modeling agencies in Detroit, attaining a Screen Actor's Guild union status, while becoming one of the more recognized "talents" in the Detroit market for local TV commercials, print modeling, industrial training films & fashion shows. He also started doing voice overs, narrating radio commercials and auditioning for roles in Hollywood films as casting agents would travel to major US cities looking to discover new talent. Ray became a bold Christian, sharing the Gospel in all of these unique settings, where he always found people who were hungry for the same God he was learning about in his Bible. Ray ministered to & led many people to Christ, praying for fellow actors, models, photographers, celebrities & talent agents. As Ray's experience led to more opportunities, the next logical step was to move to a larger city with even greater open doors, yet while Chicago & LA were the next career considerations... he also found himself praying whether he should go to Tulsa or Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) instead to study for the ministry calling that was becoming very apparent to his family, friends and nearly everyone he could talk to. As he struggled for clarity, earnestly wanting to know what he should do... more importantly what God wanted him to do, he found his answer one evening in a prayer meeting. Ray flew to Fort Worth to attend a week long prayer conference. While out for his daily run one afternoon, he experienced a severe ankle twist which led him to believe he might even need surgery to repair. Determined not to miss one of the prayer meetings, while worshipping that same evening, Ray experienced a dramatic & instant healing in his ankle & has never had a symptom of that injury. Equally dramatic was the answer Ray received that evening from the Lord through a prophetic word spoken by the main speaker of the conference. In a word-for-word answer from God, this very well known minister spoke prophetically what Ray cried out to God in his hotel room earlier that day. The minister couldn't have been any closer to Ray without standing on his toes, as Ray was seated on the front row for this special service. With that clarity, Ray flew back home to the metro Detroit suburb where he grew up all of his life, knowing there was a new home the Lord had destined for Ray to pursue his studies for the ministry. In 3 1/2 months Ray was relocated to in DFW. The first weekend in Texas Ray visited a church he supported financially, thinking that might be the only time he would attend, before getting settled-in to work at another ministry where he attended the prayer conference. Instead, when Ray opened the church's bulletin he saw an ad for a position at that large church. Ray was completely shocked when he knew the Lord was clearly directing him to apply and work for this ministry instead. Ray go the job, was trained exceptionally well in ministry & advanced within that large church organization. He became a trainer & supervisor, and held several other positions as he advanced in his duties. After a little over 3 years, he was asked to audition for the role of a LIVE TV host for a full power TV station the church acquired. Ray became one of (2) main TV hosts for a LIVE 3-Hour TV show in addition to writing and presenting daily & evening newscasts which aired at the top of each hour. Ray interviewed famous authors, introduced the latest Christian Music videos, led viewers to Christ, and had the freedom to follow the general script he collaborated to write with the team of writers, but he had the freedom to edit and share from his heart while doing this live TV show.
