A.I., The Bible and The End of Time
Rev.1:1 – The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which MUST SHORTLY come to pass; (purpose of the book) and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
1. Blessing promised to those who read, hear and keep [tay-reh-o] – to watch, guard from injury or loss, attend to carefully, to observe the word written.
2. Reasons for reading, hearing and keeping the word:
a. Christ’s return is at hand. (imminent)
b. Imminent – impending, anytime, happening in 10 secs, 10 mins, 10 days, 10 mths, 10yrs.) Imminence – always means at hand (Phil. 4:5, 1 Pet. 4:7)
