Are we too comfortable with a "convenient" Jesus? 🤔
The world loves the image of baby Jesus in a manger, and many can accept Him preaching, doing miracles, or hanging on a cross. But when the Bible introduces Him in Revelation 12:5 as the Manchild who will rule all nations with a rod of iron, it takes people completely out of their comfort zone.
In this week's message from our study on the Apocalypse, we dive deep into what this absolute authority really means. Surprisingly, the root word for "rule" here (poimaino) actually means to shepherd, feed, and guide. Even though His rod is made of iron, it is still the protective shepherd’s staff.
Three powerful takeaways for our daily walk:
1️⃣ Do we really know this Lord? History will end with Christ having absolute rule over the whole world. Our existence will be entirely about Him—no distractions, no rival affections.
2️⃣ Contextualizing our trials: When you face offenses or injustices on a Monday morning, remember that every wrong is handled eternally—either completely purged by the blood of Christ or answered in the lake of fire. Don't let worldly wrongs shipwreck your divine calling.
3️⃣ Anticipating being caught up: Just as Christ was caught up to His throne, are we living each day eagerly anticipating the Rapture and His return?
As the pressure tightens on our globe, let’s change our perspective from worldly worry to eternal victory. We aren't asking God to be on our side; by His grace, we are on His! 🙌
