Every Saturday Pastor John Udo-Okon wakes up at 3 a.m. to park his two vans along 162nd Street, around the corner from his church, Word of Life Christian Fellowship International.

Every week thousands of New Yorkers come to Word Of Life International (WOL), Bronx, New York City to receive food and various social services to support themselves and their families. Hunger continues to affect so many people in our community today. Our mission is to eliminate hunger in the South Bronx of New York City and everywhere we may have the opportunity to serve. What Word Of Life International is doing is a testimony of how lives and communities can be transformed through acts of love and selfless service.
