Center of Spiritual Light Founder's Bio: Rev. Cari Jackson, Ph.D. Rev. Paul and St. Pastor Cari is the author of The Gift to Listen, the Courage to Hear (Augsburg Books, 2003).

Center of Spiritual Light provides a range of holistic interspiritual resources for individuals, organizations, and communities to facilitate their ongoing transformation and growth. (affectionately known as Pastor Cari) brings vast experience as a pastor, teacher, counselor, facilitator, and organization development consultant. Jackson previously served as senior pastor of the historic First Cong

regational Church of Stamford, interim senior pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn, associate pastor for congregational life at The Church St. Andrew (United Methodist), interim pastor and lecturer at Union Theological Seminary, and associate worship coordinator at The Riverside Church in New York City. Prior to entering professional ministry, Cari Jackson had an extensive career in human resources, curriculum design, organization development, management training, and mediation in a cross-section of business and community service organizations. She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Christian Social Ethics from Drew University, where her dissertation, Double Talk, examined the aspects of black preaching that disempower black churchgoers in exercising their own social agency and moral authority. Her other degrees include a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Oberlin College.

Neither our best political strategies nor our overwhelming frustration can heal the soul of our nation. We need to be guided and strengthened by prayer. Prayers for Our Nation is a one-hour weekly online, interspiritual prayer gathering held every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET from now through next January. Please register at Prayers for Our Nation to receive the Zoom link. This program is hosted by Dr. Cari Jackson and Excellent Way Consulting. On March 7, Ifa Rev. DeShannon Barnes-Bowens will be the prayer leader.
