As we get ready for Sunday’s service, here’s a recap of last week’s sermon at Goodwill Baptist Church, preached by Rev. Steven V. Jones, Assistant to the Pastor. His message, “My Life, My Love, My All: Simply Surrender,” was based on Romans 12:1–2.

His message reminded us that we were made for more than what we have been doing; grace is why we can give God our all; and surrender gives our gifts a new assignment.

“Your life. Your love. Your all.” What might God do with the gifts you place in God’s hands?

On October 4, 2026, as we celebrated 41 years of pastoral ministry, Rev. Dr. Booker T. Sears Jr. preached “The Changeless Christ” for the first time in nearly two years.

From Hebrews 13:8, Pastor Sears reminded us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever—unchanging in mercy, love, grace, and power. In every season of change, Christ walks with us.

We thank God for Pastor Sears, his faithful ministry, and this powerful anniversary message. Hold on to the hope we have in Christ.
