Jesus prays in the Garden.
Matthew 26:36-46

Jesus prayed saying”My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

When we pray God listens:
Be HONEST about how you feel.
Ask God for HELP.
Pray for God’s WILL to be done.

Jeremiah 29:12
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

This experiment with skittles is colourful, easy and makes a great statement about what we are asking God to do when we pray. In essence, prayers are a way of joining with God and asking him to have an effect on the world and situations around us. We pray because we believe that our prayers, through God's will , will make a difference to the world. In this activity, colour is released from the sweets into the surrounding water, creating a colourful picture, symbolic of how the prayers we raise to God are answered.
