Today’s Verse

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are…”

What it means

This verse is about identity and love.

“See what great love…”

John the Apostle is urging us to pause and really notice how extraordinary God’s love is—not ordinary, but overwhelming and generous.

“that we should be called children of God”

This means we aren’t just followers or servants—we are adopted into God’s family. It’s a close, personal relationship, not distant or formal.

“And that is what we are”

This emphasizes that it’s not just a title or metaphor—it’s affirming certainty of an authentic spiritual identity

To take on:

God’s love is so deep that it changes who you are—you belong to Him like a child belongs to a parent.

Why it matters:
•It gives us a sense of worthy and belonging
•It shifts our identity from “outsider” to family member
•It encourages us to live in a way that reflects the identity

Today’s Verse

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:5 NIV)

What it means

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”

God’s knowledge of our existed before our birth.
• God’s deep, personal awareness of us all
• Human life and purpose are not accidental
• A theological statement about divine foreknowledge

“Before you were born I set you apart”

“To set apart”
–means to dedicate or consecrate for a special purpose.

• We have a specific calling right from the start
• Our lives were meant for a sacred role, not just ordinary purposes

“I appointed you as a prophet to the nations”

This defines Jeremiah’s mission:
• He wasn’t just a prophet for one group, but for multiple nations
• His role was to speak God’s message, warning, judgment, and hope.

To take on:

Purpose before birth:
This teaching is that individuals have meaning and calling even before they are born.
Ask GOD to show you what your purpose is.

Divine calling:
Jeremiah didn’t choose this role—it was given to him.

God’s sovereignty:
It emphasizes that God is in control of history and human roles.

Every day, we’re invited to lay down our pride, our plans, and even our fears, and choose His way instead. The cross isn’t just a symbol of suffering it’s a path of love, obedience, and transformation.

Hard, yes. But in carrying it, we don’t walk alone.

Just like a plant cannot grow without water, the mind and the heart cannot grow without the Word of God. Every day our thoughts are influenced by the world—its worries, temptations, and distractions. If we allow our minds to be filled only with earthly things, our spiritual life will slowly become dry and weak.
But when we water our mind and heart with the Word of God daily, something powerful happens. Wisdom begins to grow. Peace begins to flow. Faith becomes stronger. The Word of God renews our thinking, corrects our path, and reminds us who we truly are in the eyes of the Lord.
God’s Word is not just information—it is life, nourishment, and spiritual strength. It feeds the soul, heals the heart, and guides the mind toward righteousness. When we meditate on His Word, we allow God Himself to shape our thoughts, our decisions, and our future.
So every day, take time to read, reflect, and listen to the voice of God through the Scriptures. Let His truth pour into your life like living water. When your mind and heart are watered by the Word of God, you will grow in faith, stand firm in trials, and shine as a light in this world.
Feed your mind with truth.
Guard your heart with faith.
Water your life with the Word of God daily.

FINISHING THE MONTH FAITHFULLY

“FOR I AM CONFIDENT OF THIS VERY THING, THAT HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL PERFECT IT UNTIL THE DAY OF CHRIST JESUS.”

--PHILIPPIANS 1:6--

AS WE CLOSE THIS MONTH, WE PAUSE TO REFLECT ON GOD’S FAITHFULNESS. SOME DAYS MAY HAVE FELT PRODUCTIVE, OTHERS DISCOURAGING. YET THROUGH IT ALL, GOD HAS BEEN QUIETLY AT WORK WITHIN US.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH IS OFTEN INVISIBLE IN THE MOMENT. WE MAY NOT ALWAYS FEEL CHANGED, BUT GOD IS STEADILY SHAPING OUR HEARTS. THE SAME GOD WHO BEGAN HIS WORK IN YOU IS FAITHFUL TO COMPLETE IT.

THIS PROMISE FREES US FROM PRESSURE TO BE PERFECT. OUR ROLE IS TO REMAIN SURRENDERED; GOD’S ROLE IS TO TRANSFORM. EACH DAY BECOMES ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO TRUST HIS PROCESS AND WALK FORWARD IN FAITH.

END THIS MONTH NOT WITH SELF-EVALUATION, BUT WITH GRATITUDE. GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU YET.

FAITHFUL GOD, THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK IN MY LIFE THIS MONTH. I TRUST YOU TO CONTINUE SHAPING ME FOR YOUR GLORY. AMEN.
