The Gospel:

We all have sinned against God

The payment for our sin is death…separation from God

In order to restore this broken relationship, sin has to be payed for

But our account is empty…we cannot pay

So God stepped in and payed for our sin by sending Jesus

Jesus lived a perfect life, something we could never do

Jesus died in our place, His blood was the necessary payment for our sins

Jesus didn’t stay dead, God raised Him on the 3rd day…in essence He was saying “the payment is good”

Jesus is now seated at the Father’s right hand and will be returning soon

The offer of forgiveness and salvation still stands

What must we do…repent and believe

This is good news…the work has been done by Jesus and all we have to do is believe and receive…surrender to the Lordship of Christ
