๐ŸŽ“CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026 GRADUATE, SHALONDIA HAMILTON!๐ŸŽ“

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Shalondia Hamilton!

Born to Artis Lee and Milrene Hamilton, Shalondia has spent her life dedicated to education, ministry, and serving others. A 1984 graduate of Texas High School, she continued her education at Texas Southern University on a four-year athletic scholarship. Although she was on track to graduate in 1989, family responsibilities called her home when her father's illness required her support during a challenging season of life.

Throughout those years, Shalondia remained steadfast in her faith and commitment to ministry. She faithfully served as Minister of Music at Eleventh Street Baptist Church for 17 years before accepting the role of Minister of Music at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in 2009. For the past 16 years, she has faithfully led and inspired worship through music at what she affectionately calls "The Best Church This Side of Heaven."

After putting her educational goals on hold for decades, Shalondia made the courageous decision to return to school in 2019. She enrolled at Grand Canyon University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management before continuing her studies to obtain her Master's Degree in Elementary Education. In January 2026, she officially received her diploma, graduating with an outstanding 3.92 GPA.

Today, Shalondia serves as a Behavior Adjustment Class Teacher, helping students successfully transition back to their home campuses with confidence, purpose, and a renewed outlook on life. Her dedication to her students has not gone unnoticed, as she was honored as Teacher of the Year for the School of Success Campus for two consecutive years.

Shalondia's journey is also marked by the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. While attending Texas Southern University in 1984, she aspired to become a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Due to athletic commitments, she was unable to pursue membership at that time. Forty-two years later, that dream became a reality. Today, she proudly serves as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she is #32 on the line of The 36 Flames of Fortitude and is affectionately known as "SongBird."

Shalondia's story is one of perseverance, faith, resilience, and determination. She is a powerful example that it is never too late to pursue your dreams, complete your goals, and walk boldly in the purpose God has ordained for your life.

Shalondia, your St. Paul family celebrates your incredible accomplishments and applauds your unwavering commitment to faith, education, ministry, and service. Thank you for showing us that with God, determination, and perseverance, dreams deferred can still become dreams fulfilled. Shay Hamilton
