Psalms Music Ministry

Psalms Music Ministry PSALMS Music Ministry spreads the Gospel Of Jesus Christ in the Texarkana area through songs. Our prayer is for someone to receive Jesus through our songs.

PSALMS Music Ministry was formed in March, 2004 with a vision of reaching souls through song. The group chose its name from the book of Psalm in the Bible because this book is all about praise. It provides a foundation for praise through singing and is a platform for magnifying His omnipotent name with voices, and with instruments with special direction to the Minister of Music.

Please join us as we celebrate and sow a seed into this Man of God and great friend to every church family - Minister Larry Williams. Larry has been embattled in a fight for his life, over the last few years--and is still showing up for the Saints and other people, as he rehabilitates, and doing so from a wheelchair. He is not able to work and secure financial gains, but he still finds a way (even when he's had to find a driver) to support bereaved families during their heavy hearts, and Musician appreciation programs, and church services at his church and away from his church--while he nurtures and cares for his two sons. He has not allowed his current disability to stop him from doing "great work" for his children and for others. He has given so much of himself to the Body of Christ; and, on Sunday November 3, 2024, we have an opportunity to "bless him". Proverbs 11:25 says "Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered". Please join us as we sow seeds of financial blessings and show him that his good works have NOT gone UNNOTICED.

Blessings abundant,
Christopher Pastor Rowden and Me!!

Please do your RESEARCH people: When the United States imposes tariffs on imported goods, it is the U.S. importer (the US companies) who pays the tariff, not the foreign exporter. Essentially, tariffs are a border tax on the buyer, making it more expensive for U.S. companies to import goods into the country. These costs are often passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices.

Take cars, for instance, that are assembled (made) in the US at one of the car manufacturers within our borders. According to a report by the Center for Automotive Research, 52% of all light vehicles sold in the U.S. in 2023 were assembled abroad. More than half of the imported vehicles produced abroad and sold in the U.S. were made in Canada (11%) or Mexico (14%). This means that a significant portion of vehicles assembled abroad for the U.S. market comes from these two countries, with a significant portion of the imported vehicles produced in Canada (11%) or Mexico (14%). Therefore, this indicates that a substantial percentage of auto parts used in American cars (made in AL, OH, MI, etc.) are made outside the United States. THE CARS ARE ASSEMBLED HERE, but the parts to build those cars (52% of them) come from other countries. Engines can be made in Canada or Brazil, as examples. So again, who do you REALLY THINK will bear the cost for these tariffs?

The current average tariff rate on imported goods to the U.S. is around 1.4% to 1.6%, however, this can vary significantly depending on the specific product, with some goods facing tariffs as high as 8.5% to 67.2%. Some of the largest companies importing goods to the U.S. include Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, Lowe's, and Ashley Furniture. These companies collectively import a substantial volume of goods, accounting for a significant portion of U.S. imports. My references were from PBS.org, Macro Trends, US Trade Representative, Visual Capitalist, and the Journal of Commerce by S&P (Standard and Poor's) Global. FYI: S&P is a market capitalization weighted index (via Investopedia) of publicly traded companies in the US. The average tariff rate on industrial goods, which includes electronics, is around 2.0% but vary by classification of the goods. Offer me different research to prove me wrong and show me your references.
