HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY FROM HUNGRY HEART MINISTRIES ♥️
"Motherhood" by Jayne
Psalm 71:6
"On thee have I been stayed from the womb; from the bowels of my mother thou didst draw me forth: my praise shall be continually of thee."
The only person that can understand a mother is another mother and all mothers don't understand every mother! Whew! Mothers come in every shape, size, color, personality, attitude and temperament and most men can agree with that! What all mothers don't understand and most men can't agree with is, what goes on in the heart of each mother. Who could ever explain why these mothers in the news lately, can take the life of their precious children and yet there are others that can't seem to want to stop giving birth even having eight at one time.
Every mother sees motherhood in her own special way and her heart is usually an open book. The word "mother" is mentioned in the Bible almost 300 times. The first time a mother was mentioned in the Bible was in Genesis 3 and the last time was in Rev.17. In Genesis 3, it was Eve, the "mother of all the living" and in Rev. 17, it was "Babylon the Great, Mother of All Prostitutes and Obscenities in the World." The first brought life, the last was a symbol of sin, bringing death.
Mothers are seen in many different ways in the Word of God. In looking at each one we see that motherhood hasn't really changed much throughout the years. They may look different on the outside but on the inside they were so much like the mothers of today!
Eve, experienced all the anxieties, heartaches and torments suffered by other mothers of wicked sons down through the centuries of time. Her first and most beloved son Cain killed his brother Abel.
Jochebed was the mother of Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. Her name lives on, not by how many big things she accomplished, but by how wisely and well she served as a mother. For the first three months of Moses life, she kept him hidden, delivering him from death. She was finally willing to let him go to let him live! Perhaps we can trace in the peculiarly gentle character of Moses, the influence of this devout mother.
Sarah, was to be the Mother of Nations. Her son Isaac, was born in her old age, the Bible's first story of a miracle conception. Sarah's life was one of continuous trials, but through them she emerged as a woman of power, one who was a dutiful and beloved wife and who finally became a favored and honored mother.
David's favorite wife Bathsheba was a remarkably powerful woman. She intervened to have her son Solomon succeed his father as king.
Rebekah's life ended with her becoming a frustrated heartbroken mother. She brought about hostility between her twin sons Jacob and Esau.
Rachel, mother of Joseph and Benjamin, was the first woman on record to lose her life in childbirth. Rachel died when Benjamin was born. Benjamin must have heard a great deal about his mother because Jacob loved her dearly.
I suppose the world's most revered mother is Mary, mother of Jesus! Fourteen years old with the purest heart of any other girl in the world at the time of Jesus conception. Mary wasn't perfect. She was one hundred percent human. She had hurts, likes and dislikes, rejections and disappointments like most women of that day and yet the Lord favored her among all women because of her faithfulness and devotion to the God she served. Mary was the only woman in the world that could look into their eyes of her Baby and see the very face God!
I asked the Lord the other day if He walked into the Church on Mother's Day and everyone could see Him holding a large bag of gifts for each mother, what would His gifts to them be? I felt God said "I would heal them all"!
He said He would heal all the hurt, abuse, disrespect, mourning, physical infirmities and illnesses. He said He would heal finances, pressures, misunderstandings, betrayal and mistrust. He would bring back wayward children and restore broken homes. He would show the mothers of babies taken in death, a picture of their smiles and the sound of their giggles in the arms of angels!
If His precious mothers would only reach out to Him His bag would be empty and they would have all they needed.
May the love of God reach deep into the heart of every mother this Mother's Day and perfect every thought, action and deed. May each one understand the high calling of Motherhood and "the desire to fulfill it"!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL BIRTH MOTHERS, ALL “STAND IN” MOTHERS, ADOPTIVE AND CARETAKERS! May God bless you ALL!!!!
