Some of you are exhausted.

Not because God is asking too much from you.

But because you're carrying a weight He never asked you to carry.

Trying to prove yourself.
Trying to earn approval.
Trying to stay in God's favor.

The gospel doesn't invite us to strive for acceptance.

It invites us to rest in what Christ has already accomplished.

You're not working for acceptance.

You're working from acceptance.

One mindset says:
"Maybe if I do enough, God will finally be pleased with me."

The other says:
"Because of Jesus, I'm already accepted, loved, and secure. Now I get to live from that reality."

The gospel isn't an invitation to earn God's favor.

It's an invitation to rest in what Christ has already accomplished.

You're not working for acceptance.

You're working from acceptance.

Partner Highlight: The Kelems Family. Tom, Denise, Carson, and Leighton. A family that serves together. 🙌👨‍👩‍👦‍👦💙
Tom serves on our Safety Team 🛡️ helping create a secure, welcoming environment so families can focus on worship with peace of mind.
And Denise, Carson, and Leighton serve in Club 5Six on Sunday mornings 🎉 helping our 5th and 6th graders feel known, have fun, and take steps toward Jesus.
We love seeing a whole family use their gifts in different ways to make a difference across our church. Thank you, Kelems family. We appreciate you. 💙👏

Most of us think the Christian life starts with work.

Do more.
Try harder.
Be better.
Stay busy.

But when God created Adam, his first full day wasn't work.

It was rest.

Before Adam ever did anything for God, he spent time with God.

The same pattern shows up in the gospel.

Before God calls us to walk, serve, obey, or stand...

He invites us to rest in what Christ has already done.

Everything we do flows from what He's already done.
