Glory Will Be Revealed

Romans 8:18-19 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”

Paul says that glory will be revealed in us. God is not merely taking us to glory; He is developing His glory within us. The waiting, stretching, and refining are all preparing us for His divine purpose.

Lazarus of Bethany died, and many believed all hope was gone. Yet Jesus declared that the situation would reveal the glory of God, and Lazarus walked out of the tomb alive.

What looks like the end may simply be the stage upon which God reveals His glory.

Prayer:
“Father, I choose faith over fear and hope over despair. I believe that the suffering of this present time is not worthy to be compared with the glory You will reveal in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Declaration

“I will not allow temporary suffering to make me abandon eternal promises. God is working in me, through me, and for me. My pain is temporary, but His glory is everlasting. The suffering of this present time is not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in me. Amen.”

Your Trial Is Becoming Your Testimony

Scripture: Revelation 12:11
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The battles you face today may become the testimony that strengthens someone else tomorrow. God rarely wastes pain. He transforms wounds into witnesses of His faithfulness.

Paul the Apostle suffered imprisonment, beatings, and persecution, yet wrote letters that continue to encourage believers around the world.

Your scars may become the evidence of God’s grace in your life.

Prayer: Lord, use every hardship for Your glory and for the encouragement of others. Amen.”

The Cross Came Before the Crown

Scripture: Hebrews 12:2

Even Jesus endured suffering before entering glory. He looked beyond the cross to the joy that awaited Him. If our Savior walked through suffering to accomplish victory, we should not be discouraged when our own journey includes hardship.

Jesus Christ endured rejection, betrayal, and crucifixion, yet His resurrection brought salvation and eternal glory.

There is often a cross before a crown and a Friday before a Sunday morning.

Prayer:
“Jesus, teach me to endure with joy, knowing You have already overcome the world. Amen.”

The Weight of Affliction Produces the Weight of Glory

2 Corinthians 4:17–18 (KJV)

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Devotional

Paul calls our trials “light affliction,” not because they are painless, but because they are temporary when compared to the eternal glory God is preparing. What feels heavy to us is producing something far heavier—the weight of God’s glory.

Notice that affliction is not merely something we survive; it is something that works for us. God has a way of taking disappointment, delay, rejection, and hardship and transforming them into spiritual strength, deeper faith, and greater dependence upon Him.

The key is found in verse 18: “While we look not at the things which are seen…” Faith shifts our focus from temporary circumstances to eternal promises. The doctor’s report is temporary. Financial struggles are temporary. Seasons of loneliness are temporary. But the glory God is producing will last forever.

When Joseph sat in prison, it appeared that his dreams had died. Yet every setback was preparing him for the palace. The pit, the slavery, and the prison were all working together to position him for God’s purpose. His affliction became the pathway to his glory.

Instead of asking, “Why am I going through this?” ask, “What glory is God producing through this?” Today’s burden may be tomorrow’s testimony.

Prayer

Father, help me to keep my eyes on what is eternal and not on what is temporary. Give me the faith to believe that every trial is working for me and not against me. I declare that my present affliction cannot compare to the glory You are producing in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration

My affliction is temporary, but God’s glory is eternal. I will not be moved by what I see, because I walk by faith and not by sight. In the name of Jesus amen

The Suffering of This Present Time Is Not Worthy of the Glory”

Key Scripture: “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” — Romans 8:18 (KJV)

Suffering Is Temporary, Glory Is Eternal

Romans 8:18; 2 Corinthians 4:17

Paul does not deny that suffering is real. He simply places it beside the glory God has prepared and says there is no comparison. Today’s pain has an expiration date, but God’s glory is everlasting. The enemy wants you to measure your future by your present circumstances, but God measures your future by His promises.

For example , Joseph endured betrayal, slavery, and prison before God elevated him to save nations. His suffering became the pathway to his purpose.

Don’t judge your life by today’s chapter. God is still writing your story.

Prayer:
“Lord, strengthen me to endure today’s trials with my eyes fixed on the glory You have prepared for me. Amen.”
