Family prayer, tonight?
It would be awesome to tell you that there was great preaching… It would be wonderful to tell you that the singers and musicians were Pitch Perfect… However, I can’t tell you any of those things ,tonight… All I can tell you is when you really start talking to Jesus, all of Heaven responds ..

Great crowd! Great Spirit!
Heaven responded!

This Sunday, May 24th, most Christians around the world, celebrate Pentecost Sunday.
This is when we celebrate the most important (or at least equally important) of the big three “religious holidays”
Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. True enough, you can’t have one without the other.. However, if there is no Pentecost, then there would be no reason to celebrate the other two.

Christmas celebrates the birth of our Lord and Savior ,Jesus Christ. If he was never born, the Old Testament prophets, along with the angel, Gabriel, would have been false, meaning ,Easter or Pentecost could not happen.

Good Friday honors His death and burial.. Then Easter Sunday celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

If Jesus does not die and rise again, then He, Himself would have been false.

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

As believers, we know those to be true, but how? It’s all factual history. Not just the Bible, but World History. The history books of the Middle Eastern nations and the history of Jewish/Israel history.

However, none of us were there so, what causes people to believe it? WHY? How? What verifies and proves the prophets of old and the promises of Jesus Christ himself?

So, now if this Man walks out of the grave, after saying he would do so, I guarantee you, I’m believing Him! I’m listening to Him! I’m following Him!

I want what He is giving!

Just before he dies, He, Jesus says.. (in one of several places)

John 14:18-19 KJV
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. [19] Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Acts 1:8 KJVS
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

He says, I will come back to live IN you. To give you power.. I will be your Comforter! I will be your Savior! Wow!

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

He said, He came as Savior to save you and I.

So, He was born. He did die. He did arise on the third day.
He does live.
HE DOES keep His Word!!

Now, Pentecost completes it all. In my (and your) Holy Bible, in the book of Acts, on the Day of Pentecost something eternally changed. His promises came to pass!

His Spirit, the Comforter, His Holy Spirit, His Holy Ghost (ghost; unseen) His power… It came down to live and dwell inside of of humanity. (Acts 1) To those that believe and seek Him (Acts 2)

Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit, New Wine, Comforter, etc.. There should NEVER be fear or shame concerning these words. Jesus said, He would send His Spirit back to comfort us. It will lead and guide us into all truth. It will give us the power to battle the wrongs and sins of our own flesh. I could go on and on…. (and would love to, in a study together) So, my point, know what It is, what It means and how bad we need IT! Holy Ghost, ITS A GOD THING!

We were not present at His birth and He will not be born again.
We were not at His death and He will not die again.
We were not present at the tomb when He walked out and He will never walk out of His tomb again.

Oh my, BUT Pentecost!?!
It is the one day of the “big three” that we get to be there. It’s our own experience. We all can experience the Spirit of Pentecost. It’s not a religion. Pentecost is an experience. No one can teach you that, and no one can take it from you.

If you have it, you know it! If you do not, please don’t miss out on the greatest gift in history.

Like the other two (Christmas and Easter) there is a day to celebrate the “holiday” itself, but He is not born everyday, he does not die or rise again, every day.. BUT Pentecost can be everyday! We will celebrate it on Sunday, then live it everyday..

So, how do we know? Why do we believe?
Because, It is (or can become) our personal experience!

Please say a prayer for my niece (Tyra) She is in a Colorado hospital, after being thrown from a horse ,onto the rock. She has a broken orbital bone (bad bleeding from there) a jaw injury, either dislocated or broken. She has a brain bleed and severe swelling. At 11:53PM they are waiting to see about surgery and/or what to address first. She is a young mother that needs our prayers.

UPDATE: This morning, no scheduled surgery, bleeding stopped, no broken jaw.. Gonna get better, still! … but God!!

Please say a prayer for Brother Sam Abbot. I am here with his family at Dallas Presbyterian. He is in surgery now (Pacemaker/Defibrillator)

Just a little nugget of encouragement. Jesus said.. (Red letter) Jesus said..

Matthew 10:22 KJV
And ye shall be HATED of all men for my name's sake: but he that ENDURETH to the end shall be saved.

Endureth; To last, remain, hang on, to finish
This word leads us to know that living for and standing for Jesus, will bring hatred.. It was and will be endurance. It was and will be a challenge..

A takeaway from this is, it will not always be easy.. BUT, to those that endure…

Again, this is why the Name JESUS, is so important and will be the great, last day challenge. People will take an “easier way” instead of enduring sound doctrine. ..but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Hang on, Endure, salvation is near.. You can make it!

A little long, but strong..

No less than four times, today, the Spirit of the Lord ,brought back to my mind and into my own spirit, a conversation almost 3 decades old. I feel it’s important to share.

I was speaking to a farmer ,that owned and farmed a couple thousand acres (generational lands) He was close to 70 years old and had never, in his life,lived on another piece of land. He KNEW the farm.
He said to me
“There is a certain day in each crop, each year.. That day is the only perfect day. On that day the harvest is absolutely perfect for harvesters. From that day forward, the crop starts a slow journey towards rot. If you don’t get that harvest right then, you risk too much rain, drought, bugs, disease, animals etc.. The harvest only has one perfect time to be taken out of the field”
Suddenly, I realized why at least four times today… LPC family, we are entering into the best season of outreach for our church family.. (historically) This time of year is when we have our best outreach events and opportunities. I believe the harvest is ready, in our fields. Jesus spoke, in his Word ,that the fields are white, they are full, they are ready ,but the workers are few. When the workers are not available, the harvest is lost, to rot, right there in the field.
Please be in prayer about getting involved, putting the harvest first, sacrificing some time, talent and treasure, for the sake of a soul.
The harvest is waiting. The time is now! Will we reach the field?

No farm survives, the neglect of the harvest. No church family survives, the neglect of souls ,in the field.

Please continue to pray for Sis. Opal Little (Bro. Kelsy Allen’s mother) Many of you may not know her, as she moved away several years ago. She had a fall and broke her hip. From what I have heard, surgery was a success. Pray for her recovery. That seems to be a tough one.

Hey Hey, Life Pointe Family, let me say it LOUD!!
We often request prayer, but many times, we do not give a proper praise report.

Let me say for Brother Steve, Brother Parker and our Sister in law Tiffany.. After the prayers of the church, all 3 of those have been medically cleared of cancer. (Bladder, colon and lung) Two of those in a miraculous ,suddenly,
RIGHT NOW, one report to the next, bad to great, type of a way. I don’t know why results are different from one person to the next… We will understand it better, later. However, I do know that, God Is…God Can… God Will…
