We had such a great time at the Ritter C. Hulsey Public Library’s Summer Reading Kickoff tonight! The weather was absolutely perfect after yesterday’s storms, and it was such a joy seeing our former, current, and future MDS families all in one place.

We hope you’ll join in for the library’s Terrific Tuesday events at First United Methodist Church of Terrell. They’re always a fun time for families and a wonderful way to keep kids excited about reading all summer long.

Looking for something fun to do with your littles this summer. Come join us for Praise and Play next Wednesday morning at 10am-11:30am. All ages of children are welcome, but a parent or adult guardian is required to stay and enjoy the event with their child.

Our Terrific Tuesdays are back this summer! Join us every Tuesday from 2 - 3 PM starting on June 9, for a special performance that the whole family can enjoy.

These performances will take place at the First United Methodist Church of Terrell (503 W College Street).

🌞📚 Summer Reading = Superpowers!

Parents, it’s official: reading with your child over the summer turns your child into a Storytime Hero.

Cape not required… but highly encouraged. 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

When you spend just a few minutes a day with a book, magical things happen:

*Brains grow stronger (like doing push-ups… but way more fun)
*Vocabulary explodes (BOOM! New words everywhere)
*Imagination blasts off (destination: ANYWHERE)
*Bonding gets cozier (snuggles + stories = perfection)

And the best part? Kids don’t even realize they’re keeping their skills sharp — they’re too busy giggling, guessing what happens next, and pointing out every silly picture on the page.

We are so thrilled that our very own Mrs. V is taking on a new roll. While she won’t be teaching next year we will surely be seeing her around.

Help us give a big FUMC Terrell welcome to our new children’s minister, Katie Vandeveer. She has been a long-time member of our church family and is going to be a great addition to our church staff. Katie will officially start on June 1st but go ahead and let her know how happy we are to have her.

Our Pre‑K and Kindergarten programs provide a developmentally rich, faith‑centered foundation for early learners. Through hands‑on exploration, early literacy and math instruction, social‑emotional development, and a nurturing classroom community, students gain the skills and confidence needed for long‑term success.

Enrollment for the upcoming school year is now open. Space is limited do not wait.

Our program is designed to provide an opportunity for children to interact in a friendly, happy, and Christian atmosphere.

Tonight we celebrated out Pre-K4 and Kindergarten classes with the sweetest graduation program. It was everything — adorable songs, tiny caps, big dreams, and even bigger smiles. 🌈🎤
Watching these little stars shine on stage reminded me how much they’ve grown in their time with us here at Methodist Day School.
Congratulations to our amazing graduates, their families and the teachers who made this day unforgettable. I cannot wait to see hear all about your next adventures. 🎓💕

Field Day was an absolute blast today! Sunshine, friendly chaos, and just enough competition to remind everyone we’re all still kids at heart. 🏃‍♂️💨🌞
Pretty sure I burned 3,000 calories laughing alone.
