What a wonderful Blessing of the Animals we celebrated this week! 18 dogs, 5 cats, a rabbit and a guinea pig all made sure their humans brought them for a bit of love and community to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis.

Father Groff even got to bless his own fur kid, Finn…the hound who you see in the 7th picture!

Everyone loves a glow up, so here’s some before and after shots of our major roofing project!

If you haven’t stopped by in a while. you might notice all of our buildings -school included- have a beautiful fresh brown tinted roof!

We are so grateful to all of the donors that made this much needed update possible.

More to come on other Capital Improvements!

The Rev. Dr. Bonnie Quantrell Jones received her honorary degree today from The Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY. She was honored for her leadership as board chair and philanthropic work with The Hope Center, a local nonprofit serving more than 900 homeless daily through multiple services and housing. Bonnie graduated from the seminary in 1996 enroute to becoming an Episcopal priest while also owning a large car dealership in Lexington.

Fathers Groff and Cook flew up with Tony and Karen to support and celebrate the milestone. Congratulations Rev. Dr. Bonnie!!!!

It’s happening! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our parish family, our capital campaign has now reached $1.6 million in commitments and gifts!

Even more exciting, progress is already underway on our school construction project. What was once a vision is becoming a reality as we continue creating spaces that will serve children, families, and our wider community For Such a Time as This.

This milestone is about more than buildings—it is about investing in ministry, education, hospitality, and the future of Good Shepherd. Every gift, every prayer, and every act of support is helping make this possible.

Thank you for believing in this vision and for helping us build a strong foundation for what comes next.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, their labor is in vain who build it.” — Psalm 127:1
