❤️ HEART PROBLEMS

What if the voice inside your heart isn't always telling you the truth?

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, Avenue T Church of Christ came together for a special combined English and Spanish worship service. Cole Tuck presented a powerful message titled “Heart Problems,” with Charlie Rodriguez translating the sermon into Spanish. Our culture tells us, “Follow your heart.” But Scripture gives us a much different warning. Our hearts can deceive us, lead us into temptation, and take us places we never intended to go.

The good news is that we don't have to trust our hearts as the ultimate source of truth. Jesus showed us the better way. Even when His own desires were different, He chose the Father's will. The challenge for all of us is this:

Don't let your heart decide what is true. Let God lead your heart. Watch or listen to this powerful message and ask yourself: Whose heart am I following?

📖 Sunday Morning Bible Class — Proverbs 10

What separates a wise person from a foolish person?

It isn't simply whether we make mistakes. We all fall short. The real question is how we respond when we do.
On Sunday, August 30, Cole Tuck continued our study of Proverbs, exploring Solomon's practical wisdom about God's blessings, sin and repentance, diligence, the fear of the Lord, and the words we speak.

Proverbs 10 reminds us that wisdom is more than knowledge; it's a way of living.
When we fall, will we remain in our foolishness, or will we choose to learn, repent, and grow?

🎥 Watch the Bible class and continue growing in God's wisdom with us.

Jesus Sees Your Struggles | The Letter to Smyrna

What do you do when following Christ becomes difficult?

On Sunday, August 23, Cole Tuck continued our Seven Churches of Revelation series with Jesus’ powerful letter to the church in Smyrna from Revelation 2:8–11. Smyrna was suffering. They were poor, persecuted, and facing even more hardship. Yet Jesus told them something remarkable: “I know your tribulation.” Their circumstances did not mean Jesus had forgotten them.

This powerful lesson reminds us that:

• Jesus knows our troubles.
• We can be physically poor but spiritually rich.
• Our identity before God isn't determined by ethnicity or ancestry.
• Faithfulness may require sacrifice.
• We can remain faithful because Jesus has already overcome death.
• The crown of life is worth remaining faithful to Christ.

Whatever you may be facing today, Jesus sees your struggles. You are not forgotten, and you don't have to face them alone. Watch or listen to this encouraging message from Revelation 2:8–11 and discover what the church at Smyrna can teach us about faithful living.

“Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” — Revelation 2:10

📖 Sunday Morning Bible Class — Proverbs

This Sunday, August 23, 2026, Cole Tuck continued our study through the book of Proverbs, examining Proverbs 10 and the practical wisdom Solomon gives for everyday life.

What does wisdom look like?
🔹 Working diligently
🔹 Walking with integrity
🔹 Being willing to listen and learn
🔹 Controlling our words
🔹 Choosing love instead of hatred and gossip
🔹 Learning from correction
🔹 Keeping spiritual priorities above financial and physical success

One powerful reminder from the lesson was that the wise person isn't simply trying to win an argument—they are trying to discover what is actually true. Proverbs reminds us that biblical wisdom isn't just something we know. It's something we live.

Join us as we continue discovering how God's wisdom can transform the way we work, speak, listen, love, and live.

📖 EPHESUS: THE LETTER OF REVELATION

On Sunday, August 16, 2026, Cole Tuck began a powerful new sermon series through the seven letters of Jesus to the churches in Revelation. The first message focuses on Ephesus — Revelation 2:1–7.

Jesus commended the Ephesian church for standing firmly for truth, rejecting false teaching, enduring hardship, and refusing to compromise. But He also had a serious warning: they had abandoned the love they had at first.
The challenge for us is just as powerful today:

❤️ Are we standing for truth while still loving people?
📖 Are we so focused on being right that we forget to do what is right?
🔄 Have we allowed our love for Christ and others to grow cold?

Jesus called the Ephesians to remember, repent, and return to the works they did at first.
This message reminds us that the Christian life requires both truth and love. We don't have to choose between faithfulness and compassion. Jesus calls us to live out both.

🎥 Watch or listen to “Ephesus: The Letter of Revelation” and begin this important journey through the messages of Jesus to the seven churches.

📖 Sunday Morning Bible Class — Proverbs

What voice are you listening to?

On Sunday, August 16, Cole Tuck continued our study through Proverbs, finishing Proverbs 9 and beginning Proverbs 10. Proverbs presents a powerful picture of Wisdom and Folly calling out to us. Both voices can be heard. Both offer a path. But the voice we choose to listen to will influence the direction of our lives. As the study moved into Proverbs 10, we were reminded that wisdom isn't simply about knowing more. It's about listening, accepting correction, thinking about consequences, choosing righteousness, and considering how our choices affect the people around us.

The challenge is simple but profound:

Which voice are you allowing to shape your life?

Take some time this week to read Proverbs 9–10 and consider the path you're walking.
