Churches Touching Lives for Christ needs men's blue jeans in all sizes! Many of our homeless male clients who are seeking jobs in lawn care or industries are required to wear long protective pants on the job, and jeans fit this requirement. Used jeans are great, as long as they are clean, not too torn up, and are not stained with paint or other substance that will not come out in a normal wash.
You may drop off your jean donation at the CTLC distribution center at 702 W. Ave. G in Temple. Our center is open for donations on weekday mornings between 8:00 am and 11:30 am. Thanks for considering this request!

CTLC to be closed on Tuesday, January 27
Forecasts call for Central Texas roads to gradually become passable again this week, but not quickly enough to allow the CTLC food pantry to restock the food it needs to have a distribution day this Tuesday (January 27). Food items for Tuesday distribution days are typically delivered to the CTLC center on Monday mornings. Since frozen road conditions are likely to persist on Monday, deliveries of food will be pushed to mid-week, too late for distribution on Tuesday. CTLC plans to be open for its next distribution day on Saturday morning, January 31st, from 8:30 until 11:00 am.

CTLC Closed on Saturday, January 24
Predictions of icy weather conditions on Saturday morning have led to the decision to cancel the food distribution scheduled for January 24. "When CTLC has a distribution day, more than half of our volunteers work outside for up to three hours, checking in clients and loading groceries into their vehicles," explained Paula Tanner, executive director of CTLC. "The temperatures we are expecting from the polar cold front, plus added wind chills and possible precipitation, pose a danger to people working outdoors or trying to navigate icy roads to travel to the food pantry. We appreciate our clients' understanding in this situation."
