📖 This Week in K-5: Joseph’s Mean Brothers and What God Meant to Do
Genesis 37 & 50

Joseph's story reminds us that even when life feels unfair, God is still at work. What others meant for harm, God used for good!

✨ Big Truth:
God works all things according to His perfect plan.

📝 Memory Verse:
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose."
— Romans 8:28

❤️ Gospel Connection:
Joseph's story points us to an even greater story—Jesus. What looked like the greatest mess in history became God's greatest rescue plan. Jesus was rejected, mocked, and crucified, but He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death once and for all.

God used Joseph's hardships for good, and He used the cross to bring salvation to the world. What an amazing reminder that God is always working, even when we can't see it!

🙌 What a great story. What a great Savior. What a great salvation.

🌟 Renewal Kids Update 🌟

This week, our K-5 students learned about "Blessings in the Night" from Genesis 28 & 32 and discovering an important truth: God always keeps His promises and is always with His people.

📖 Memory Verse
"Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."
— Genesis 28:15

✨ Big Truth
God reminded Jacob that He would keep His promise and be with him wherever he went.

❤️ Gospel Connection
Even after Jacob made mistakes and faced the consequences of his actions, God did not abandon him. Instead, God met him in his loneliness and fear, reminding him of His love, mercy, and faithfulness.

Just as God was with Jacob, He is with us today. Through Jesus—our Savior and Immanuel, "God with us"—we receive blessings we could never earn on our own: forgiveness, a new heart, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and a church family to walk alongside us.

What wonderful news for all of us: God saves, God keeps His promises, and God is always with us. 💙

🌋 Aloha Families! We’ve Reached the Big Finale! 🌴
What an absolutely incredible week it has been at the Lava Lava Luau. We have loved seeing your kids every evening, dancing, playing games, and learning how God helps us to take control of our emotions before a storm hits.
Tonight (Friday, June 5) is Day 5, and we are closing out the week with a special Family Worship Night! 6pm-8pm. We want all parents, siblings, and families to stay and join in on the fun. Come see what the kids have learned and celebrate an amazing week together!
🙌 A massive "Thank You!" to our amazing volunteers: Thank you for your energy, your time, and your huge hearts for these kids.
To the families participating: Thank you for trusting us with your kids each evening. We have loved getting to know them!

There was a great turnout yesterday for Day One of Lava Lava Luau!
Day 2: Rain or Shine! 🌧️
We don't let a little precipitation cool down our volcano! It looks like we might get some rain today, but the Luau goes on.
We will still be having camp tonight unless we experience lightning or heavy rains. The pavilion gives us some great cover, and we will also have some tent cover, so get ready for another awesome evening!
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Walker Park & Pavilion (2615 N 3rd St., Temple, TX)
Ages: Kids entering K-5th Grade
