Romans 12:17-21 NKJV
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
20 Therefore:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Hi Rockers!!

I read a very challenging statement recently, it said this:

“Don’t judge someone just because they sin differently than you do!”

Ouch! How tough is that!? Just let that statement soak a bit. Consider reading Matthew 7:1-5. I would love to hear any comments you may have when it makes it through the rinse cycle!

This Sunday, July 12th, we’ll study the art of choosing to forget. Please read Matthew 18:21-35 before Sunday.

Stay Thirsty for The Word!!

Blessings!!

Tim

Hi Rockers!!

During the week leading up to His death and resurrection, Jesus went into the Temple in Jerusalem and discovered that corruption had entered into the heart of Jewish life. He immediately cleared the Temple of those who were participating in this corruption. He did so in such a way that it was clear that it was unacceptable for the corruption to continue. This story can be found in all four gospels. Matthew 21:12-13; Mark 11:15-18; Luke 19:45-46; and John 2:13-17. This story is also a metaphor for what Jesus does later in the week. His death on the cross and subsequent resurrection makes it clear that the corruption of sin and death has no power in our lives. Let Jesus into your heart today and let His power change your life. Jesus loves us this we know, because His sacrifice tells us so!

Special services this week at The Rock:

Maundy Thursday 4/2 7:00PM
Good Friday 4/3 7:00PM
Easter Sunday 4/5 11:00AM

Hi Rockers!!! This year we are trying to "be transformed by the renewing of our minds" (See week zero scripture below) by memorizing scripture, one passage each week. Here is a summary of all the Rock Memory Verses so far. We will post a new memory verse each week this year. Please pray and then read the memory verse each morning of that week. Read it again as often as possible and then try to say it in your head without reading it. Before you know it... you will... well... know it!!! Lol!! You will be blessed by spending time in prayer and reading the word each day!! Please check out this link for all the verses we have had so far this year. http://www.therockofcentraltexas.org/?p=298
