***** ANNOUNCEMENT *****

After a lot of prayer and counsel from some very wise Christian brothers and sister, we are temporarily closing the doors to Believe Ministries Worship Center, effective immediately.

Our hearts our saddened by this decision, but we are confident that God has something else for us for the time being.

We will keep our page going as well as our phone number, website, and email address. However, we will not be holding any worship services at all until further notice.

The reasons are numerous and social media is not the place to discuss those reasons.

For all who attended our services in person: we were blessed beyond understanding by your presence. For all who attended our services online: we were also blessed by your attendance.

Please understand...we are NOT going away permanently, only for a season. How long that season will last has not been determined yet. But, when we are told to reopen, rest assured...we will! So, for those who follow our FB page: keep following so you know when that time will come.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May His Face shine upon you.

Learn to Listen

To listen and obey the Lord is a lifelong command and calling. To really listen and not only hear. To hear and then to do something, that's what it's all about. Ears that are open to the Lord's voice are equal to a responsive and impressionable life. To listen like this is to make God's heart glad because it always leads to a life lived for His glory. Listen and do the right thing today.

John 10:27 (NLT): "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."

James 1:19 (NLT): Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

Matthew 7:24 (NLT): "Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock."

Let Go of the Lies

To twist the truth to fit your selfish needs and desires is not on. It is like playing in the opponent's hand. Satan is not called the father of lies for nothing. Don't speak his language. Don't deal with the truth lightly. Speak the truth. Live the truth; God's truth! Otherwise, you jeopardize your own integrity as a believer.

John 8:44 (NLT): "For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies."

Ephesians 4:25 (NLT): So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.

Spiritual Liberation

To be free is to truly live. That is exactly what Christ came to do for us. He came to lift the burden of death and sin from our shoulders. Jesus also came to take the burden of the suffering. He sees the need of the poor, the sick and the outcasts. He let them live in His grace. We should follow His example and care for them.

Luke 4:18 (NLT): "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free."

John 8:36 (NLT): "So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free."

Romans 6:6-7 (NLT): We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.

You Must Avoid Laziness

The book of Proverbs often speaks about idleness. Lazy people become poor. They don't move a muscle to do something for themselves. They hang around lazily and are surprised when bad things happen to them. Idleness is not a virtue, rather diligence. God expects His children to be hardworking. No, we are not workaholics, but we definitely don't sit around all day doing nothing.

Proverbs 6:6 (NLT): Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!

Proverbs 10:4 (NLT): Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich.

Proverbs 12:24 (NLT): Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.

Laughing Matters

To laugh is part of living. You need to laugh for the right reasons. Sarah laughed sarcastically when God told her she would have a baby. God didn't like it. God Himself laughed mockingly at the wicked who challenged His authority. Together with Him, you can only shake your head in amazement at their foolishness. But with God, true happiness, joy, and laughter are found.

Genesis 18:13 (NLT): Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’"

Ecclesiastes 3:4 (NLT): A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.

Psalm 37:12-13 (NLT): The wicked plot against the godly; they snarl at them in defiance. But the Lord just laughs, for he sees their day of judgment coming.
