Northwest Christian Church was formed out a deep desire to impact our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. A group of believers began meeting and praying and asking God if planting a new church was what He wanted them to do. God had begun forming Northwest then and He continues still today. In 2005, God moved us to our current location on Temperance Road, where we are still doing what He cal
led us to at the beginning. For us it is pretty simple, we love Jesus! Everything we do is to, through, for, and because of Jesus. Jesus is God and we worship Him. We recognize that we are sinners, yet He still loves us. Our deepest desire it to be made more and more like Jesus and to do that our sin must be dealt with. Praise God, He forgives sin! Because we know we are loved and that He has forgiven us, we live out new lives cleansed by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Because of this new life, it causes us to have new hearts with new desires. One of those desires is to love others. We love other Christians as brothers and sisters, and are bound to each other as the Kingdom of God. We also love our community, our neighbors, and strangers. We love because Christ first loved us. This is just a snap shot of who we are. We are a group of disciples of Jesus trying to live lives that are faithful to Him, while inviting others to come along with us on this journey towards Jesus. We know that He is coming. When, we aren't sure, but we trust that He will because He said He would. Until He does, we will be faithful to Him.
