Beloved peaceful souls, you may be worried, angry, or scared. Whatever you’re feeling is valid. These are times unlike anything we've lived through.
We’ve watched events unfold that shake our sense of safety. It's natural to wonder how we arrived at this moment.
What I know is this: not everyone has awakened to our deep interconnectedness. Some are still caught in fear, separation, or the illusion that power and greed is more important than humanity. And some who once followed those paths are beginning to see more clearly.
Today, we stand at a crossroads for humanity.
Years ago, when I worked with the Arizona Department of Peace campaign, I met with many elected officials from many perspectives. When I asked what kind of world they hoped their children and grandchildren would inherit, every single one of them said the same word: peace.
So where is that peace? More importantly perhaps, how do we move through these times with calmness and peace in our own hearts?
We just celebrated Easter. Part of my message was that we don’t have to wait for life to calm down to find peace. Easter doesn’t promise an easy path. It reminds us that peace is an inner steadiness, a presence we can return to again and again. We have access to the same centered peace Jesus carried. The Christ presence within us is peace.
In Desiderata, a poem I used for our Lenten text, there’s a line: “Keep peace with your soul.”
How do we do that when the world feels on edge? We let our soul become our sanctuary, the place where resurrection begins. From that inner peace, we meet the world with clarity, compassion, and courage.
So breathe, beloveds. Be at peace in your soul.
Remember that you are here by Divine appointment in these chaotic times. Your being here at this time is not random or an accident. And from that deep knowing, from that grounded place, hold the highest, most benevolent vision for all beings on this planet.
We pray. We envision. We take peaceful action where we can;
like calling our elected officials.
Omnipresence. Oneness. Mind. Prayer and Action.
Loving you,
Rev. Mitzi
