🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we at King of Glory Lutheran Church pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of freedom and the enduring values of courage, selflessness, and love for neighbor.
As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, may we also take time for gratitude, reflection, and prayer. We give thanks for those who served faithfully and never returned home, and we pray for all military families who continue to carry both pride and loss in their hearts.
Scripture reminds us in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” On this day, we remember those who embodied that sacrificial love.
May God bring comfort to grieving families, peace to our nation, and hope to all who seek healing and unity. Let us live as people of gratitude, compassion, and service, carrying forward the values for which so many gave everything.
From all of us at King of Glory Lutheran Church, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend. May we never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice. ✝️
