The Army of Helaman was composed of 2,060 young men who trusted God enough to go to war. They knew they had the responsibility to protect those that they loved, and did it courageously. Their trust in God, though, was not gained on solely their own merit. We learn that "they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them" (Alma 56:47). Us as missionaries are serving around the world, trusting God, and fighting for the liberty of those around us. We could not be doing this great work without our beloved mothers, who raised us to doubt not, only trust that God will deliver us. We thank you for raising us, and loving us enough to let us venture off to spread the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We love you and we hope that you have a great Mother's Day. Remember, “There is no greater good in all the world than motherhood. The influence of a mother in the lives of her children is beyond calculation.”
