昨日の日曜礼拝では、セントルイスからお越しくださった生方先生が、「主の御前に出る大切さ」というテーマでメッセージを取り次いでくださいました。

礼拝後はみんなでランチを楽しみ、その後、ヘヨンさんがご両親の救いについて証ししてくださいました。そのお話を通して、私たちも大いに励まされ、神様の恵みを改めて覚えるひとときとなりました。

On Sunday, Pastor Ubukata shared a message on the theme, “The Importance of Coming Before the Lord.”

After the service, we enjoyed lunch together, and then Hyeon-san shared a testimony about her parents’ salvation. Through her story, we were greatly encouraged and were reminded once again of God’s amazing grace.

もう先週になりますが、ゆみちゃんのピアノリサイタルに行ってきました。

いつも教会で賛美をリードしてくれていますが、今回はこうしてじっくり演奏を聴かせてもらい、とてもリラックス＆リフレッシュできるひとときでした。

また来年も開催されるそうですので、今回行けなかった方も、次回はぜひ！

Last week, some of us had the chance to attend Yumi’s piano recital.

Yumi leads worship at church, but this time it was such a treat to sit and listen to her performance more closely. It was a truly relaxing and refreshing time.

There will be another recital next year, so if you couldn’t make it this time, I hope you can next time!

昨日の日曜礼拝では、佐々木史郎先生が「明日の人生への備え」というタイトルで、大嵐の中にあっても倒されない信仰についてお話しくださいました。礼拝後は、美味しいカレーをいただきながら、楽しい交わりの時間を持つことができました。

学校も夏休みに入り、これから日本へ帰省する人、旅行で出かける人、あるいはアリゾナに帰ってくる人もいます。それぞれの旅路が守られ、行く先々でイエス様に導かれた出会いと交わりの時が豊かに与えられますように。

At Sunday worship, Pastor Shiro Sasaki shared a message titled “Preparing for Tomorrow's Life,” speaking about a faith that will not be shaken even in the midst of great storms. After the service, we enjoyed a blessed time of fellowship over delicious curry.

Now that summer break has begun, some people will be traveling to Japan, some will be going on trips, and others will be returning to Arizona. Praying that each journey will be protected and that, wherever they go, there will be meaningful encounters and time for fellowship led by Jesus.

What a blessed Sunday morning (and afternoon) we shared with each other-from a baby to seniors! 👶 A message through God’s word, beautiful praises, yummy lunch, fellowship and members town hall meeting. We praise our faithful God for pouring out his grace 🙌

今週はASUの卒業式があり、Jヤンができる前からJIBCにきてくれていた学生二人が卒業しました。おめでとう！！🎓

2年間、本当によく頑張りました。その間、神様が二人をJIBCへ導いてくださったことを感謝しています。

これからの歩みの上にも、神様の守りと導きがありますように 🙏

This week was ASU’s graduation week. Two J-Young students who attended JIBC for most of their time here graduated. Congratulations!! 🎓

You both worked so hard over these past two years (and more!). We are grateful that God led you to JIBC during this season of your lives!

We pray that God’s protection and guidance will continue to be upon your journey ahead.🙏

先日の日曜日は、日本に帰る二人の留学生を祈りで送り出しました。その他にも卒業、修了、そして５月誕生日とお祝いし、ここまで守り導いてくださった神様に感謝しました。パーティーの後は久しぶりに卓球をしたり、皆で賛美したりしました。

これから学生たちは期末試験、卒業式、引っ越し・・・と慌ただしい日々が続きます。これからの歩みも、神様の守りと導きのうちにありますように🙏

J-Young sent off two students who have completed their studies at ASU in prayer. We also celebrated graduations, program completions, and May birthdays, giving thanks to God for His guidance and protection throughout their journeys. After the party, we played table tennis and worshiped together.

In the days ahead, students will be busy with final exams, graduation ceremonies, moving, and more. May their steps continue to be under God’s guidance and protection 🙏

Jヤンの留学生たちは、期末試験や寮の引っ越しなどで忙しい時期に入りました！それでもこの日曜日は、礼拝後に場所を変えて交わりの時間を持ち、ひと足先に帰省する仲間を空港まで見送りに行きました✈️

今日みんなで遊んだゲームの中で出てきた質問の一つです：

「もしイエスがペットを飼っていたとしたら、それはなんだと思いますか？それはなぜですか？」

皆さんはどう思いますか？

J-Young students are busy with final exams and dorm move-outs! Even so, this Sunday after service and church lunch, we changed locations to spend more time in fellowship and then went to the airport to send off a member who is heading home a bit early ✈️

Here’s one of the questions that came up during a game we played together:

“If Jesus had a pet, what would it be and why?”
