All means everyone!

"Help Us Accept Each Other" (no. 560 in The United Methodist Hymnal) is a powerful hymn on reconciliation and forgiveness. Rooted in Romans 15:7 — "Receive one another, then, just as Christ also received you, to God's glory" — it calls us to love others "as we find them, or as they may become."

🎵 Help us accept each other
as Christ accepted us;
teach us as sister, brother,
each person to embrace.
Be present, Lord, among us,
and bring us to believe
we are ourselves accepted
and meant to love and live.

The hymn also reflects Ephesians 4:15: “But practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head.”

💭 What might you consider doing in order to "grow up into Christ" through love and forgiveness this week?

📖 Matthew 16:13-16
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" And they said, "Some say John the Baptist but others Elijah and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
💭 When and how did you come to realize as your Messiah?

If you haven’t been to church in a while, that’s okay. We understand. With the changes and challenges we’ve been facing in the past half-dozen years, we all have needed to take time to process and reevaluate.

While we understand, we also invite you to reconnect, rekindle your relationships and get involved once more.

Reposting from Divine Embrace Residential Homes:
☀️ Arizona's extreme heat continues to put some of our most vulnerable community members at risk.

Current heat-related death investigations in Maricopa County have already surpassed last year's total. This is an important reminder that extreme heat isn't simply uncomfortable—it can become life-threatening very quickly.

❤️ Please take a moment to check on the people you serve, particularly:

👵 Seniors living alone
🏠 Individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability
❄️ Those without reliable air conditioning
🚗 Individuals with limited transportation or financial resources

💧 Encourage clients to stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure during peak heat, and identify a safe, air-conditioned place they can go if needed.

🏡 If you are working with an adult who needs help finding a safe housing option during the extreme heat, please feel free to reach out to me. If Divine Embrace Residential Homes can be a resource, we are happy to help.

💜 This is about all of us looking out for the most vulnerable members of our community.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and please continue checking on one another. ☀️💧
