So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

When you tell others that you are a Christian, they will pay close attention to see how you act in certain situations. The way you behave is a reflection of God to them. Ask yourself if what you are doing helps others see God in a positive light. Does your work ethic reflect God positively? Does the way you treat others reflect God positively? Does the way you respond to difficult situations reflect God positively?

You bring glory to God by spending time understanding His commands and doing what He says. Ask Him to help you grow in His commands. Meditate on the Bible, and pray about what God is telling you to do. Then, follow His ways and commit to them. When you do these things, you will show people what God is like because you know Him and are following Him. ~ Jeff M Newman

Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men, because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:23-24)

Eternal rewards from the Lord are not reserved only for things like praying, being a missionary, preaching, or reading the Bible. You will be rewarded when you do your work unto the Lord and with your whole being. This includes everyday tasks like mowing the lawn, doing the dishes, completing schoolwork, working at your job, and cleaning the house. Turn everything you do into an opportunity to bring glory to the Lord. When you work with your whole being, you reflect the Lord to those around you. ~ Jeff M Newman

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer. (Romans 12:12)

When you put your faith in Jesus, you will have the hope of heaven. One day, God will wipe away every tear from your eyes, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain, for the former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4). Be joyful, knowing that God has amazing plans for you. Let this truth give you patience when times are hard. Be diligent in your prayers throughout your life—God calls you to pray about everything. He desires to have a deep relationship with you through both the good times and the tough times. ~ Jeff M Newman

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Jesus is calling you to teach others to obey Him. At the top of the list of Jesus’ commands are to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. Share this with others today. Pray for them and encourage them to love God and others. ~ Jeff M Newman

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:5-8)

Jesus loves you so much that He gave up His heavenly position and came to serve, even to the point of death on a cross. You are called to humble yourself, just as Christ did, and serve others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many, so that others might come to know God. ~ Jeff M Newman

I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8)

Do you ever feel uncertain about what God wants you to do next? Do you feel like you don't know how to carry out His will? Here's the good news: God promises to instruct you, teach you, give you counsel, and watch over you.. There is no better teacher than the Lord. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present in your life.

Ask Him right now to be your guide and teacher. He loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and will never lead you astray. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5–6). ~ Jeff M Newman

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalm 23:1)

The LORD compares us to sheep. Sheep have a tendency to wander off and get lost. Isaiah 53:6 says, “We all, like sheep, have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way, and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” You need the LORD to be your Shepherd. The LORD will lead you, guide you, and provide for all your needs. Your greatest need is salvation. The Good Shepherd, Jesus, has provided for your need for salvation by laying down His life for yours on the cross. ~ Jeff M Newman

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 BSB)

The LORD loves you and wants to help you. Look to Him for direction every day. He will faithfully guide you as you put your trust in Him. Study the Word and let Him show you the way. Listen carefully to Him. Ask Him for strength to follow His direction and for wisdom. ~ Jeff M Newman

This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do. (Joshua 1:8)

The key to success and prosperity in life is to keep the Word of God ever on your lips, to meditate upon it day and night, and to walk in obedience to all that the Lord commands. Spend time in the Scriptures today. Read slowly. Listen attentively. Pray earnestly concerning what you read. Allow the Lord to guide your steps. ~ Jeff M Newman

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. (John 15:1-5)

God desires for you to live a spiritually fruitful life. The way to experience this kind of life is by abiding in Christ. To abide means to remain, dwell, or stay connected. For example, if you remain inside your home, you are abiding in your home. In the same way, God wants you to make your home in Christ.

The Father knows there are things in your life that hinder your ability to abide in Christ. Because He loves you, He will prune away anything that prevents you from remaining in close fellowship with Jesus. This pruning may be uncomfortable, but it is purposeful—so that you may bear more spiritual fruit. ~ Jeff M Newman

I am the bread of life. (John 6:48)

We all need to eat food in order to survive. Jesus is saying that He is the true food that gives eternal life. When you eat regular food, you will become hungry again. But when you partake of the Bread of Life, you will receive eternal life and never hunger again.

You eat the Bread of Life by having faith in Jesus. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”
So, feed on the Bread of Life by filling yourself with God’s Word. Jesus is the Word. When you engage with God’s Word, you are partaking of the Bread of Life. ~ Jeff M Newman
