Single mom raising a 10-year-old boy while learning how to let go.
My son is growing up—becoming more independent, asking deeper questions, and needing me in ways that are changing.
And I won’t lie… this season has stretched me.
There are days I still remind him of basic things.
Days I clean up behind him because it’s easier.
And days I realize I’m no longer just “raising a little boy”—I’m guiding someone who is learning responsibility, emotions, and identity.
As a single mom, I also carry the weight of not being able to control everything he goes through—especially the things that affect his heart.
But I’m learning something in this season of motherhood and faith:
Maybe letting go isn’t the end of my influence as a mother…
maybe it’s the beginning of trusting that I was never the only one guiding him.
The Lord has always been present in his story, even in the parts I can’t see or control.
If you’re a single mom, parenting a growing child, or learning how to release control while still loving deeply—this is for you.
