"The Ransomed Mind" 1 Peter 1:13-25

This week we see a shift in Peter’s letter. He has laid the bedrock of our faith in the incredible undeserved grace of God toward us who believe. The Father sent the Son. The Son’s blood was shed to deliver us from our sins, the Spirit applies that work to our lives and we are secured by the indestructible faith which God gave us and protects us until the day Christ returns and we receive our full inheritance.

Now Peter is going to encourage the saints in light of this amazing reality to love one another. The remainder of 1 Peter is Holy Spirit-inspired truth, wisdom, and power on “how we shall then live.” How do we treat our neighbor, our coworkers, our spouses, our bosses, the government, etc? Remember, we never move pass the gospel, we never transition to earning the gospel, but Christ has died, Christ has risen, and Christ will come again, therefore we are called to LIVE OUT the gospel in our everyday lives till He returns.
