Unexpected phone quality photo but a raw, high quality moment.

Sound check was over. The room was mostly empty. And over an hour before anyone else walked through these doors, our worship team prayed.

They prayed that every person who encounters Lakeshore Christian Fellowship would see who God truly is. They prayed for open hearts. For transformation. For healing in every area of our lives that desperately needs the touch of our Lord.

For people to walk into our church and leave knowing they have encountered the living God.

And this isn’t just the prayer of our worship team.

There are people praying over seats that are still empty, believing, in faith, for the people we have yet to meet.

Maybe you’re already part of Lakeshore. Maybe you’ve only ever joined us online. Maybe you’ve never walked through our doors.

But you are being prayed for.

Not that Lakeshore would impress you. Not that the music would move you. Not that we would get everything right.

But that you would see Jesus.

That you would know Him as He truly is. That your heart would be open to Him. And that His presence would transform the places in your life that only He can.

This photo was taken in an almost empty room, but the prayers filling it were for every person God will ever bring into it.

This Sunday, we have an opportunity to love our community in a practical way.

We’re restocking our food pantry so we can continue serving individuals and families in our community when a need arises.

“Through love serve one another.” — Galatians 5:13

As you’re doing your shopping this weekend, please consider picking up a few items to help us fill the shelves. Every can, box, and bag is an opportunity to remind someone that they are seen, cared for, and loved.

Faith prepares and prepared Faith moves.

It prays.
It shows up.
It serves.
It invites.
It makes room for the people God is sending.

In Acts 6:7, we see what happens when the people of God faithfully do their part.

We prepare in faith because there are still people to reach. There are still people who need to know they are welcomed and invited into the conversation.

The harvest is His. The preparation is ours.

Let’s be ready for who God sends.

Faith doesn’t only believe God can move, it prepares for what we believe He’s going to do.

In week 8 of our ‘FAITH’ series, Pastor Brandon reminded us that we are preparing in faith for every person God sends through our doors. People matter deeply to God, so they matter deeply to us.

Serving is stewardship. It’s making room for the person walking into church for the first time, the family looking for community, the person returning after years away, and the one who simply needs to encounter the love of Jesus through His people.

Acts 6 shows us what can happen when God’s people step into their place and faithfully serve:

“Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly…” Acts 6:7 (NKJV)

They prepared. They served. And God brought the increase.

We don’t know who God is going to send, but in faith, we can prepare for them. We can prepare for you.

Isaiah 6:1 gives us a glimpse of a God who is high and lifted up. Seated on His throne, reigning in glory.

Our circumstances may change. Our feelings may shift. The world around us may feel uncertain. But God remains on the throne.

He is holy. He is sovereign. He is faithful. He is worthy of every bit of our praise.

We don’t worship because everything is going right. We worship because of who HE is.

“…I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple ” Isaiah 6:1 (NKJV)

He was worthy then.
He is worthy now.
He will be worthy forever.

Serving is Stewardship: in faith preparing to welcome, love, care for, and connect every person God has and will send.

In John 13:34-35 (NKJV), Jesus tells us:
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Serving isn’t just something we do, it’s part of how we steward the people God places in front of us. Every act of service matters!

There’s a place for you to serve. There’s a person you can love, and there’s Kingdom work to be done!

You weren’t meant to do life, or faith, alone.

There’s something powerful about gathering together. Worshipping side by side. Praying for one another. Hearing God’s Word. Encouraging each other. Being reminded that we belong to something bigger than ourselves.

Jesus promised, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20

Maybe you’ve been coming every week.
Maybe it’s been a while.
Maybe you’ve never walked through our doors before.
